US: Woman called Crystal Methvin arrested for possession of crystal meth

A woman called Crystal Methvin was arrested for possession of?.crystal meth. The bizarre coincidence saw the coincidentally-named suspect, 40, and her pal Douglas Nickerson, 41, arrested after cops got a complaint about an unlicensed driver last Saturday.

Cops then turned up at a parking lot in St. Augustine, Fla., to find the pair, along with a third unidentified suspect, sitting in a car, FOX40 reported. After searching the car, officers discovered crystal meth, as well as drug paraphernalia, and arrested both Methvin and Nickerson. Methvin, who has been charged with drug possession, is being held in St John?s County Jail on a $5,000 bond.

Nickerson, whose bond is the same amount, faces drug possession and equipment charges. St Augustine PD also saw the funny side of the suspect?s name, posting a her mugshot on Facebook with the caption: ?Have you ever wondered what Crystal Meth looks like? ?Well meet, w/f Crystal June METHvin (No Joke) and her friend, Douglas Michael Nickerson. ?Both were arrested by St. Augustine Police Department, this morning for Crystal Meth! ?Officers responded to the parking lot at (69 S. Dixie Hwy) this morning at approx. 0600hrs, after receiving an anonymous complaint, about an unlicensed driver. ?When the officers arrived, they found three subjects sitting in a parked vehicle. ?A consent to search the vehicle and individuals, revealed they were in possession of drug paraphernalia and a substance that was field tested and tested positive for Crystal Meth. ?Both were placed into custody by Officer J. Brown (#2942) and escorted to the St. John?s County jail.?

That kinds sucks. They must not have had much in the way of weight if their bond is only $5k. Not that it makes it any better, but still...

I do not want to spend too much time thinking about what it's like having to live in Florida's jail system

If your family name is Methvin, for the love of God, do not call your kid Crystal!

(To be fair to this Crystal Methvin's parents, she is forty years old, which I believe is older than "crystal meth" as a term that is used in popular culture.)

For God's sake I would call myself Jiggly Trampoline before I would attempt to live with a name like Crystal Methvin.

Instead I will pray for these 3--- that perhaps the arrest leads them to better choices/ healthier living; and for Crystal.... dear sweet Lord please move her to consider a Name Change!

Having been in a Florida jail, I can't recommend it.
