Why tf are there house centipedes

I have noticed that these terrifying pests only started showing up in houses after 2011 round here and ive seen one in every place ive lived in since 2011 first off why are they so fucking terrifying why are they so big and why are they suddenly increasing in population literally all my tweaker friends call me fucking terrified when they see one of these high and paranoid as fuck they are literally disgusting terrifying bugs that are the size of tropical rain forest insects yet there in toronto homes has anyone else been terrorized by these fucking lighting fast monsters?

You probably had an infestation once and they moved with us as they were everywhere. Thankfully that's not an issue anymore.
