Hows the 2018 drug scene in Thailand?

Will be leaving in a couple of weeks but wanted to know how the scene was down there.
I really want to try yaba or yama. Anyone ever try this?

I heard it was really rigorous. 1 year for every gram, if it is like that, its not worth it.... and the weed there is really bad I have heard... but I have not been there

IIRC Thailand has some of the most draconian drug laws in the world (though not as bad as other countries like indonesia or saudi arabia) , seems like you could get in trouble if you're a tourist and don't know anyone there. Doing time in a Thai jail doesn't sound fun at all, and you might get lost in the system and have a hard time getting out if you're alone and don't speak the language.
