Dry throat from Vape pen?

I am throwing out a line here I see if anyone else has dealt with what I?m dealing with. I was a regular weed smoker probably once or twice an evening for 8+ years. I started using the pen over the winter to avoid going out in the cold and for 10 weeks now I?ve had an extreme dry throat. Been to many doctors, none know what it?s from. My last thought is that this last oil cartridge tasted funny... different than the others. And I?ve had a horrible extreme dry throat since. Sucks because I can?t burn at all anymore. It?s ruining my life. Could I have damaged my throat some how? Any thoughts? I?m grasping for straws trying to figure out notnonly what did this, but will it ever go away?

Cheap preloaded cartridges have a plasticy taste to them towards the end, I've always assumed ones that looked hommade aren't the best for one's health.

I would recommend visiting a ENT specialist. They're docs specially trained to deal with issues specific to the ears, nose, and throat.

I would drop the vape pens if I were you. Many are made in unregulated conditions and you do not want that shit in your body. Even regulated ones are tested and found to be made with cancerous ingredients and they get banned or anyone selling them is notified. I would imagine you have something somebody made in their garage. Go with a branded reliable alternative if anything. But I would take the edible route all day if you are not smoking for some reason.

Take a break entirely let your throat come back to normal plus reset your tolerance.

vapes taste like SHIT. Ive had that dry nasty plastic taste, no matter what kinda vape I tried. The dry throat is what turned me away. Youll be fine just lay off it for a week or so I'd say. I got it from smoking distillates. Like the poster above me said, theyre made with shitty QC and from who knows where. Add to that the fact they also dilute/cut them to some extent for profit. Preloaded carts are garbage from my experience. Id rather inhale wd40 fumes.
