Could you put the bottom of a wax cartridge on a hot stove top and held it there and hit it? I mean that's essentially the vaping process am I wrong?

No, you'll just melt the cartridge. That is NOT how it basically works. The battery heats up a coil to the right temperature inaide your pen. Also, please stop making multiple threads about the same question. I'll leave this one open since it's not quite the same.
