If I take my benzo medication every other 3 days will I still develop a tolerance? If I do develop a tolerance how long should I go without to get back to baseline. I have used benzos off and on for about 2 months. Nothing everyday.

it's impossible to say for certain, everyone is different.

Which benzo in specific are you taking, and for what? Tolerance to different effects happens differently, for instance some fast acting benzos may only be useful as a sleep aid in the short term, but for control of seizures/spasticity every day dosing of things like clonazepam seems to stay effective. In general tolerance to the euphoric/intoxicating and sedating effects happens first with the more physiological effects taking longer to develop tolerance to. But YMMV.

If you've been taking your benzo on and off for 2 months and don't notice a loss of efficacy you're probably OK to continue use at that frequency. But stay vigilant and consider switching to a different family of medications if you find that the efficacy starts to drop.
