black tar heroin

swim has some black tar heroin but is terrified to try it...cause swim has heard of flesh eating bacteria from heroin...is there any chance of contracting flesh eating bacteria smoking black tar heroin as opposed to shooting with a needle? i know either method is not safe and that you can overdose on smoking tar heroin but that being said....can you contract any disease/flesh eating bacteria from smoking black tar off of foil with a tube ??? someone please help....thanks in advanced

Yes, you will, for the most part, eliminate your risk for things like Botulism and Abscess by foregoing that Injection route of administration.

You cannot contract flesh-eating bacteria from smoking anything. I'm a microbiologist by profession. "Flesh-eating bacteria" is actually a dramatic colloquial name for a subtype of streptococcus, the same bacteria that causes strep throat. What happens in cases of flesh-eating bacteria is that this bacteria gets into your bloodstream when you introduce it there through the IV process. Strep organisms on the surface of your skin, or perhaps on your needle, are directly inoculated into your blood. When bacteria begins growing in your blood, you have "blood poisoning", or sepsis, and if the bacteria in question is this certain kind of strep, you can get the flesh-eating effect, which is really just a necrotic response in the skin.

That being said, if you do not directly introduce bacteria into your bloodstream, you cannot contract any type of septicemia. This is not a risk with smoking.

THAT being said, smoking heroin still isn't safe, just a disclaimer. But flesh-eating bacteria is not something you need to worry about.

We don't SWIM here; it doesn't protect you and isn't allowed-to your post, smoking would be an improvement over injection as Keif said, and probably most effective method for black tar-won't say it is healthy though less risk, and you can't really snort tar so there ya go
