Cover vs Original- Who's corner are you in?

OK, just gonna start from where I left off
1. Bill Withers
2. Cyndi Lauper
3. Simon & Garfunkel.. Ty for leaving out Disturbed!!
4.Fugees
5. Son of a Preacher Man-I actually had this debate. I kinda like Tina Turner. My friend and husband said Dusty Springfield hands down. I guess Tina's voice was too strong for the tune..
6. I just wouldn't mess with Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy

While I think of one, maybe try some of these covers by Leo Moracholi. He does all the instrumentation with a little help from his family, and his energy is sooooo refreshing. Choose your favorite. At this point, I like Leo's cover of Royals and Disco Inferno. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEEX8g2XtzsGv61U11HpoWt5JP18NHeve

OR

I agree with JP above on preferences, apart from I'm not familiar with Sugar Plum Fairy (said without having clicked & heard if it rings a bell, admittedly)
Plus, Dolly over Whitney (understated, nontheatrical emotion, soz Whitters, bless your soul)
