Good 70's music?

^ Fkn Iggy, he's a beaut of a character.

I prefer when singers interject on the bouncers - but I guess that had to evolve and require a semblance of sobriety ( i.e. PJ)

can't have a 70's thread without mentioning this album

David Bowie's "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars" released in 1972. Five Years is one of my favorite tracks on the album

Kraftwerk's Autobahn album (1974) deserves mention for sure. They did electronic music right, right from the get go. While electronic music has come a long way since then, I still listen to this album today and their other stuff with great enjoyment.

^ Nice; they've been so ripped-off throughout the era's post that album -without due credit.

oh man..... I think there is more great music in the 70's than any other decade. Across many styles

I could go on all day.

Anyone out there a fan of the group "Little Feat"? I still love listening to their stuff, particularly the live album, "Waiting for Columbus" . Lowell George was one of the guitar GREATS! I still remember how devastated I was when I heard of his passing. Some of my favorites - Rocket in my Pocket, Tripe Face Boogie, Oh Atlanta, All that you Dream and of course, Dixie Chicken. Thanks for allowing me a little trip down memory lane.

Yea, Little Feat definitely one of my favorites.

Straight up swamp funk. They’re doing a small tour this summer.

Fred, Bill and Paul are all still very active with different side projects as well. I caught “Dead Feat” at a late night show during New Orleans jazz fest a few years ago and it was awesome. Some serious players in that band....Anders Osborne, Paul Barrere & Fred Tackett, Jackie Greene, John Gros, Brady Blade and Carl Dufrene. They do dead and little feat tunes and throw in some other random kick ass stuff. Here’s a sample of them doing fire on the mountain....

OMG! I didn't realize anyone else even knew about him and that song! He has a live album from way back I used to wear out. One song in particular was funny as shit. It was an old Motown song he kind of talks through but he changes some of the words and it's freaking hilarious!
