Hi there,
My friend has been taking Focalin (dexmethylphenidate) recreationally pretty much every day for the past 8 days. She always takes the same dose, 45 mg of the xr pellets (chewed to negate time release mechanism) and is high for around 3 hours, comes down, sleeps, eats a meal, and redoses around 24 hours later. the effects are always the same. Today she took her typical starting dose (30 mg) and is having a very strange reaction. No euphoria, just anxiety, nausea, very increased heart rate and a bit of blurred vision. It is very unpleasant. does anyone know why this could be happening to her? Thanks for any input.
