Extracting Quillivant? Aka liquid time release Ritalin / methylphenidate

All in the title.

I have some years old quillivant sitting in my freezer and figured I could get better use if I can make it IR.

Anyone have a clue? Shouldn't be too hard to extract the methylphenidate XR out from the random carriers they put in. But then I have no idea on removing the time release. I searched and found nothing pertaining to a liquid time release Ritalin extraction / purification. Thanks all.

Sounds like more trouble than it's worth tbh. Polystirex is the usual suspect for liquid ER suspensions and A liquid /liquid separation is probably out there but for methylphenidate? Again, not sure if it's worth the hassle. Advanced search might buy you some better info. Good luck though.
