Quitting heroin smoking habit.

In college full time in Seattle. 2 contracting jobs. Roof over my head. GF also addicted.
Been smoking heroin for about a year and a half. Her one year.
Have 12 mg of subs between us. Couldn't find more. Waited 24 hours took 2 mg each. Waited 16 hours smoked some dope. Trying to wait another 24 before taking the last of the subs but dying. Anyone here know anything about quitting a smoking habit and or spreading use out to once every 40 hours or so as a taper?
New to this site and desperate. So close to getting life all together

The last of the subs? You had 12, took 4 total between the two of ya, shouldn't you have 8 left? If the 2mg leveled you out, each of ya take 2mg next time, then 1ea the next 2 days, then jump off. You'll be uncomfy for a week or so, but the worse of the physical should be over.
