@invegauser yea good call on the sunlight, on top of the fact that direct sunlight helps beak down invega. Also look up Activator X when looking into calcium absorbtion- i take it bc its sole purpose is to make calcium more ?intelligent? meaning the calcium we absorb actually knows to go towards our bones/teeth.

Also @steph78 lmao notice how that guy ALWAYS has to have the last word on something. People like that are The worst, like its a sign of poor personal development to not be able to be salty and marinade in it, instead of always having to respond. (Watch, theyll post some bs after i just said that)

One last thing- u guys should look into taking Cold showers. It sounds dumb, i know, but after a month of taking a hot shower and then finishing the last 2 minutes up with really cold water, ive never felt better. It takes like 7-10 days to get used to it but its great for ur brain, producing gluthianone (sic), better skin and hair, so many benefits. But it pushes the invega out of ur muscles (imo) bc u go from a hot shower where ur circulation and shit is increased and then a cold shower where ur blood vessels dialate and u start clearing ur lymphatic system... just try it!

yes and there's a massive Invega thread about three threads above this one. Check it out.

@Steph78: niacin is an OTC vitamin. it is used for a variety of reasons. https://www.everydayhealth.com/drugs/niacin and https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/niacin-benefits#section2 are the basics. please do not take too high of a dose. start at a lower dose and work your way up. though for someone so far along i wouldn't think it would do much it is still B3 vitamin and wouldn't hurt to be used as a daily supplement.

Mmmmmmeth is something you get from your local redneck OTC supplier, careful when purchasing as their domicile has a tendency to blow up if making it at home or is usually frequented by sketchy people who are volatile and unpredictably violent at times. (unlike our fine friend Specified here)

^ gonna be one of those nights buddy

JoWright was around when you first started posting and electricdancerdip has posted in both threads plus a couple others.

roll on shades, roll on. good times.

@inveguser: I agree with alot you said in an earlier post that psychiatry is still catching up with mental illness. The brain is a complex entity and finding a pure treatment is difficult. I accept that psychosis is an elevation of dopamine in the brain and invega stops the receptors from producing dopamine, however, the short and long term side effects can be excruciating for the person affected and forums like this highlight that fact. It acts as a double edge sword where moral questions need to be raised. There is no perfect treatment for mental illness and that goes for depression, anxiety and bipolar. All these medications have a benefit and cost so the questions that need to be asked are; what are the side effects? do the benefits outweigh the cost? Are there alternative and natural remedies? Psychiatrists need to keep reflecting on these questions to get a better understanding of the patients perspective.

Hahahaha

@robe11: you make a lot of sense and i agree with you. it is one of the first things that was introduced to me when i first started using psychiatry to find a solution to my condition.

my personal thinking on invega is they had the right idea but went about it the wrong way. a quote of a recent post of mine in another invega thread:

invegauser said:
they target such a crucial receptor with the best of intentions but what they end up doing is essentially breaking your legs and then telling you to run. they overwhelm and disable the receptor instead of learning how to activate it to work or not to work at certain key times.

thinking of it like training a dog is the wrong way to think about what i said in the quote. what i think would essentially happen is minor adjustments would be made and the person would be able to see this for themselves and learn to work with this new programming if you will, creating these new patterns and training the receptor themselves. eventually even coming off the med after having trained the receptor to work with them instead of against them. in the case of a receptor not being able to be reprogrammed and coming off the med for whatever reason, smaller doses of the med would be still needed.

this is all ideally speaking, especially if the side effects/withdrawal symptoms would be cut at least by half if not more so and less intense. we are all different in the healing process and in life as well. finding what "cures the disease without killing the patient" is going to be hard to find what works for everyone but there are lots of smart people who work in science and i hope they can find something that is more compatible and agreeable to all people. hence why they create different types of the same meds for the same mental illness. i've taken more than my fair share (not only schizo meds but other labels as well) and i consider myself fortunate; i have been able to take most at higher doses, for longer periods of time and with far less effects/symptoms than other people have had. but like invega reminds me, there's always a catch. haha.

that is one reason i'm thankful this site is here. it not only gives us hope and a place to find solace but the very idea of a harm reduction site is one of the main reasons. psych meds are drugs, they are just legal ones. i think of the terms substances and drugs a lil differently than most but in the effort to raise awareness in hopes of finding better approaches to helping those with mental illness through science, i think they are understood well enough.

if Niacin works for drugs maybe niacin with horny goat weed will give me some Libido. I desperately need it as i'm going overseas and want to see a few Escorts. Any Advise?

@invegauser: I love that analogy "break your legs and tell you to run". I've often thought the first port of call after a psychotic episode should be a psychologist not a psychiatrist. I understand people who are suffering from psychosis can be a danger to themselves or others so keeping them in hospital would be advised, however, treat them first with a psychologist so patients can get some perspective of what is happening in their mind. Medications should be given as a last resort which is often not the case because the first port of call is a psychiatrist. I describe psychosis like the perfect storm where many factors like environment, people, drugs and stress collide inevitably tipping people over the edge. Psychologists can treat patients with behaviour therapy and remove those factors which are causing psychosis. I'm not saying this is a proven and tried method but it's certainly worth investigating.

Day 102

I am mentally around 95% recovered. I am simply a little more irritable than pre invega and what I've also noticed is that I'm slow at thinking. A month ago, I'd complain about how difficult this process is and how long it is, and we all have good reasons to think this way but today I am more feeling like it is worth waiting if I'm truly going to be my old self.

Invegauser, btw my date will actually be next week, I consider myself as lucky because I have more time to recover.

Anyone else have trouble with peeing? Trouble getting started and/or straining to finish? I'm wondering if this may be part of the invega or if I need to get a check up.

@Specified: how are you doing today shades? last night happen or roll into today? as per your question do you have stiff muscles? (zack365 might be on to something there)

@Hellohihey2: all the things i mentioned in my sleep post yesterday happened last night again. sleep was a lil more torrent than the night before but it was definitely good. so it is part of the down of the ups and downs but until we are fully healed that is to be expected. you didn't jinx me and you also called it, you must be getting aware of patterns and doing your research. starting to get adept at this, that's a good sign for you.

@zack365: thanks for letting me know, my memory is resetting in the here and now part of reality, so sometimes i get details confused. keep working on the healing and i'm sure you'll be fine. remember not all of them can be keepers, that's why it's likened to fish in the sea. not connecting is just like not getting a bite on the hook. having fun makes it worth it even if she's not a keeper.

@robe11: why?

@Steph78: didn't you experience this in the last week or two? did it go away or has it stuck around this whole time?

I'm sorry, did I experience what?
I just want to say thank you Invegauser. Thank you for being here and being a positive guidance, information and reassurance. Not too many like you exist. Willing to take time out of your day to check on everyone. U r great and I appreciate you.

Does everyone know how to report a user?

Also do u guys have to pee a lot? I specifically have this issue when i take boron, but even when i dont take it i have to pee a lot. And its annoying bc when im done, i give my self one last shake (lol) but theres always a couple drops left, it sounds dumb but i think somethings weong my muscles that stop my flow of pee. Weird...

I have noticed the pee thing. Like I pee some then it's like I got to push hard to get the rest out and there quite a bit.

you and Hellohihey2 were talking about it back on 8-11-2018. i then suggested cranberry juice because it helps with going too frequently but wasn't aware at the time of what you were getting at.

are you drinking enough water?

plus Empty1128 mentioned above about paxil, are you still taking that? something to do research on.

your welcome, your too kind. i try to pass along the right info to anyone suffering. i wish for a speedy recovery for all cause like i said yesterday, it really makes me angry anytime someone new is suffering. it's not anyone fault and they are just trying to find the same thing we all are, an antidote or the finish line. this site helped me when i was at my worse and i want to give something back.

i'm glad you have stuck it out. your story supports the average healing time plus those here can see your progress in the way you talk of late. you've come far and i'm happy your doing better and almost done. keep it up.

hell yeah! enjoy.
