testing 3MMC with Marquis Reagent

Has anyone had success with this kit for 3MMC? I just received shipment from Nederlands and would like to double check with test before I try it.

3-MMC gives no colour change when tested with the marquis reagent, although sometimes there is a very faint yellow tint. You would need the liebermann reagent to get a real colour change (yellow/orange).

You should test with both because if the marquis reagent gives a colour then you know it is not 3-MMC.

The United Nations recommends the Zimmermann reagent:

The immediate color changes are listed as:

2-MMC: Dark purple
3-MMC: Purple
4-MMC: Light purple

Regardless of false positives, distinguishing three shades of purple without a reference material sounds like a nightmare. And a mix of 2 and 4-mmc would look like 3-MMC!

Not perfect, but still better than Marquis and Lieberman.

Point is: the zimmermann reagent is useful for cathinones but no-one seems to care about it nor stock it. Why? Is it too expensive? difficult to source?

What's the problem?

Neither eztest.com, nor bunk police, nor sin.org.pl, nor any other famous reagent seller carries it. I don't understand why, I'm puzzled!
