Free or cure from all STDs?
DNA dating to match people perfectly?
Nobody gets left out.
Virtual reality porn so good that it’s like a dream.

What you reckon could happen in future?

Yeah I'm gonna guess robots too. There are so many documentaries of creepy guys having sex with dolls and robots of various kinds. Yes I think it's creepy and weird.

Why is it almost always men who have creepy weird behaviors with sex. You see men seeking out mail order brides and Thai brides and dolls and robots but you rarely ever see women doing it.

With all this VR stuff going around I'd imagine VR porn won't be far behind.

Maybe the coming nuclear apocalypse (or whatever) will cause some cool mutation that will make all the humans born thereafter into hermaphrodites.

Then we can make love in whatever MM/FF/FM gay/straight/pan sexual acts we please.
How cool would that be?

Sex will be taxed and we will be implated with sensors to count each thrust in any orifice, this will be counted and you will receive a tax bill every year per thrust.

What if you STILL cant get laid after the apocalypse and skynet are refecting your attempt with vibrators?

If we're all hermies, we could potentially fuck ourselves.

you can fuck whatever you want already. don't need to nuke the world to do so.

True, i'm just trying to find a bright side to all the horror of modern times.

Also, i was hoping my theory would get picked up by alex "gay frogs" jones, and get back to trump so he'd be deterred from launching a nuclear holocaust.
Millions of dead are one thing, but heaven forbid we embrace polymorphic sex.

This won't be the "next" sexual, revolution but I strongly believe that at some point in the future gender reassignment will be such a straightforward and simple process that it won't even be called surgery anymore. I don't know how commonplace it will actually be but I think it's conceivable that humanity will go through cultural phases where people change genders frequently, and almost everyone has done it at least once.

Additionally - I foresee sex and conception becoming more and more uncoupled until the point where we rewrite our genome so that fertility is under our conscious control and contraception is no longer necessary. Perhaps we will even give ourselves the ability to lay a sort of "soft egg" that can be deposited into some kind of incubator, rather than go through the seemingly immense hassle of pregnancy.

On a more basic level, sexually, with the advent of firstly fully immersive virtual reality, followed by, perhaps, scarily lifelike sex robots, and eventually widespread, safe, and easy body modification by virtue of direct editing of the genetic code of adults, I think it's conceivable that a whole bunch of weird shit will come about that we would probably look at today as being wrong or dysfunctional... The Furries of today gradually transitioning into real chimerean practitioners of some kind of pseudo-bestiality, and people fucking robot or VR clones of their crushes, or celebrities that they've never met, for example...

Obviously there will be some real ethical problems to work through with some of these things (moreso the last thing I mentioned there, with VR sex clones of real people, the other stuff while it might seem strange to us today will just become a non-issue in time, I suspect).

I'm optimistic however that human culture as a whole will progress to the point where on the whole, people just care a lot less about a lot of stuff that today is taboo or cause for embarrassment or controversy, and accept that some people are just always going to be into weird shit. That said I don't doubt that all the cultural and technological shifts required to get us to this point will be preceded as they always are by the hysterical screeching of hordes of luddite, repressed, backwards thinkers about how this or that stuff isn't natural, it's wrong, it's going to lead to the breakdown of society, it's bad for The Children, etc, etc... ;)

Vastness, I mean, a lot of what you said, I actually don't think is good for people on a spiritual and holistic level... What annoys me are those that renounce newness from dogma, instead of critical thinking. I'm not sure how deep I wanna get there though, I have a bunch of real life stuff to do and not much time to actually strike a conversation. Just wanted to throw that out there though.

What I really wanted to say, or really, ask, was if you've read the Transmetropolitan graphic novel series. A bunch of what you described, especially genetic alterations for these purposes, is directly featured in that work. I've never been a fan of graphic novels or comics, but goddamn, that is a read. I highly, highly recommend it!

I have not read that graphic novel series, it sounds interesting though, I'll see if I can find it, thanks for the heads up! :)

As for things not being good for people spiritually or holistically... you may well be right, without going into specifics, I'm sure that I wouldn't entirely disagree... especially, for example, if pregnancy was no longer necessary to create children. However I would argue that technology very often creates quite artificial circumstances for human beings that, in many ways, are not good for them... ever since the first form of "indoor toys" which meant that kids no longer had to get outside, run around, and socialise to entertain themselves, technology has been increasing the frequency of existing mental health issues, and sometimes creating a whole range of new ones.

The latest iteration of this dilemma is probably the screen and social media addiction of many young (and even not so young) people today. I don't think anyone would try to argue that addiction to "likes" or followers is a holistically or spiritually healthy thing in any way, but I take the position that this just the latest in a long line of sociocultural problems which we need to overcome, just as we will need to overcome new problems introduced by new advancements in the future.

If we can conceive that a technology is possible, plausible, and has some function which will eventually lead to it being developed, used and improved upon in human society, then it stands to reason that eventually it will become widespread and as a species we will need to adjust to the consequences. I believe the social and cultural issues that emerging and disruptive technologies cause are something that we should actively be looking for ways to overcome, and not something that we should shy away from just because in the interim they may not be good for some people.

Also, I honestly don't see any alternative, except to artificially restrict access to certain technologies, and artificially limit scientific progress beyond a certain point... and even apart from the fact that (in my opinion) these methods of tight control of knowledge and resources are deeply, intrinsically morally wrong, I think that history has proven that attempting to tightly control society in this way does not generally have a good outcome.

like maggie thatcher and the hole tax...

With all these predictions of the future and technology, I think it all will collapse in the end, as I find it all very unnatural and unhealthy for human life, it’s bad enough seeing teenagers stuck on their smartphones walking down the road with earphones not talking to anybody. Making fembots is just humans attempt to make another human, very clever art project but never be able to make them a perfect replica of someone else just to feed some horny males fantasy. I think we are going to end up like the Romans and western civilisation will collapse and something different will come along, hopefully something more sane that what I see in today’s society.
