Buying Nootropics vs. Feminization Hormones

Dear Bluelight,

I'm fascinated with nootropics as a means of cognitive enhancement, especially since I'm in early recovery because my brain health is everything to me, but I also have transgendered feelings and am thinking of buying MyEvanesce, a blend of feminization hormones for breast growth and estrogen production. Being that I only have a finite amount of money, which should I buy?

I'm not sure that this is appropriate for this subforum.
Nootropics are the sort of thing you need to research and seek as much understanding of before you go experimenting, in my opinion.

Either way, we don't allow "what should i buy/take?" threads.

Bit of an apples and oranges type question don't you think OP? If you're having transgendered feelings, have you discussed with your GP or a therapist (etc), including the implications of taking the hormones? As for which is the bigger priority, only you can know that.

Maybe this would be better suited for HL or PED? What do you think CFC?

OP, I doubt our community has the background in hormone therapies to really be able to answer your question. Chances are we might not have any members with experience using those products.

If there is anything related to having a trans identity we definitely have other members who have dealt with that. But that's a different conversation than which products to use as hormone replacement. I certainly am not confident in recommending you do anything but work with a specialist and medical professional on that. And I have zero experience in that department.

Let us know how we can help you support yourself in whatever you may be going through. This thread may end up getting closed though, just because the topic isn't well suited to this forum's general content. It would be cool if it was, but I think it's kinda out of our anecdotal range of experiences/scope of practice in terms of LAVA (so to speak).

The point is changing one's gender vs sharpening one's mind aren't even vaguely comparable in terms of life impact and therefore the question as posed makes no sense at all. Changing gender is a huge decision that OP should really seek to discuss with professionals.

It also speaks to why I dislike the term nootropic. It can be used to refer to anything that boosts cognitive abilities, which technically hormones could be considered to do when used to help someone attain their desired identity.

But yeah, this is an odd topic. Let us know more OP, or else we'll just close/archive this thread.

It depends on what is more important and/or necessary for you. Keep in mind that nootropics aren't magic, and hormones aren't something that you should purchase without a prescription. Hopefully, you've talked to a doctor about your feelings so you'd be able to go through the transition process safely.
