Marijuana associated with three-fold risk of death from hypertension

That's a striking result, but given the size of the study I wouldn't give it too much credence. This is especially true given the fact that they found no negative mortality risk associated with cardiovascular dysfunction in the cigarette-smoking sample, which is clearly not in line with the established research.

estimated

people who like getting high on weed often drink a lot too especially over their lifetime. that is a known risk for hypertension

"Participants who confirmed ever having five or more drinks almost every day at a point in life were classified as alcohol users."

way less alcohol than that can cause hypertension...

so if you are not a heavy alcoholic you are not an alcohol user? fuck me thats convenient

I would label someone having 5 drinks per month an alcohol user- an infrequent one but a user nonetheless

I think diet as a whole should definitely play into this as well.

I also believe this study was ment to make marijuana look bad but either way figured I'd post it as food for thought.

And the alcohol things crazy
