John Ibrahim’s home raided and Michael and Fadi arrested over ‘international drug syndicate’
JOHN Ibrahim’s Sydney home has been raided and brothers Michael and Fadi have been arrested as part of a major operation to dismantle an international drug syndicate.
It is understood Australian Federal Police swooped on Michael and Fadi as they ate dinner with two other known associates in Dubai.
The arrests came as police this morning raided 20 homes across Sydney and issued 50 warrants in one of the biggest attacks on organised crime in decades.
John’s son Daniel was among 12 people arrested along with Ahmad ‘Rock’ Ahamd, the brother of slain underworld figure Walid Ahmad.
John is believed to be at his Dover Heights home being raided by police. Homes have also been targeted in Vaucluse, Bellevue Hill, Bankstown, Punchbowl and Arncliffe.
The raids on Ibrahim’s home comes just a week after the release of his autobiography.
