Adding glycol in dry herb vaporizers?

So I switched to vaping buds a while back, and I'm familiar with the use of propylene glycol in "regular" vaporizers. I don't have any PG but have butylene glycol. After doing a bit of reading on the properties of glycols apparently they are effective in aiding heat transfer (hence the ethylene glycol in radiators) As a test i put a single drop on some dry ground herb and the glycol did seem to make more & smoother vapor. Also easier to see it. it's 99.7% pure and only using drops (though i'm well aware of it's many other uses) Anyone try anything like this or see any reason in might not be a good idea? -oar
