Bupropion combination with CYP2D6 substrates??

Mirtazapine works better as hypnotic at low doses (15mg) than higher ones (30mg), so IMO your sleep improvement was due to other causes.

I don't have a clue but I'd bet Stahl recommends the combination on the basis of combining a stimulant and anxiogenic that can cause insomnia with a hypnotic more frequently anxiolytic agent...

By that logic - would 7.5 mg remeron by more sedating again.

And 3.75 more again?

Would someone really get sleep benefit from 3.75 mg though?

Jb2000,

For what it's worth , the cyp2d6 inhibitor affects metabolisation of Ibogaine to nirobogaine as that relies on the same enzyme.

I learnt this whilst giving consideration to MDosing Iboga root along with bupropion thinking it will enliven seretonin / dopamine and norepinephrine , to then realise of the negating impact.

however what I am unsure about is what happens after Iboga is metabolised to nirobogaine and stored in fat cells and slow released ...does the cyp2d6 inhibitor still matter ? I am Guessing not as the nirobogaine doesn't need to go through liver again.

Cheers
