So I am thinking about growing this beautiful fruit I am wondering if after the mycelium forms can I break up the sub and spread it flat? Would that work or no??? No one really talks about it in this detail please help?????

Look up a bulk tek with coco coir and throw it in a tote/tray/shoebox. What's your sub anyways?

I was just gonna buy cakes inoculate them then crush them up and spread it in a tub
