saw this one last night, i thought it was not bad a film but pretty sloppy plotwise, some of the scenes just felt superfluous. It was engaging but also depressing, by the end the subplots are resolved but it left some bigger questions unanswered.
 
I couldn't get through all of it.

I might give it another shot but it just felt hollow.. like a bad rehash of the same scenes with an ugly colour pallete. I'm not a fan of Danny Boyle's new cinematic style with the highly vivid colour's, he did the same in Trance.. which was a film I enjoyed and the style sort of worked but it looked weird with T2.
 
I've held off on seeing it because I read Welshs sequel titled Porno. If it stuck with that source material I can't imagine it's any good. If they reworked the plot from scratch I can't imagine it's any good. I just couldn't see anyway it was going to be good.
 
I tried to watch it. I gave up and wrote about it inthe "films that suck" thread.
 
there was no rental on FIOS so I had to buy it from them and it sucked ..the first one was great
 
i'd put this on from time to time going through the worst withdrawal of my life. i liked it very much. main story was whatever, but seeing familiar faces later on in life was nice. plus the ending gave me life ( iggy pop lust for life ) playing @ end/credits. magnifique!
 
Yeah i saw it in the cinema and i thought it was brilliant.
I love irvine welsh, and i'd just finished reading skagboys (havent read porno in 10+ years) so i didn't scrutinise the plot too much; but i thought it was a clever revisitation.
 
Yeah I really thought it was good and on second viewing even appreciated it more. I went in with weird expectations that things would just resume as they were, that's not real though, they were still pretty twisted people though, lol. Good stuff.
 
i remember liking porno when it first came out, but im still hesitant to watch the movie. i just rented filth off google play but havent watched it yet. i remember at on point owning every welsh book , then next thing i know my parents gave them all to goodwill when i was in jail
