I've taken chewable OTC meds before, mostly nausea ones, and currently take chewable tums (for adderall potentiation). To my understanding, the only reason why you're supposed to chew them is so they kick in quicker and because most people can't swallow a pill the size of a quarter. I'm not actually using it for nausea, so I don't really care how quick they kick in, and I have no problem biting 4 in half and swallowing them all at once, so that's what I've been doing. Im just wondering if there are any other benefits to chewing them or downsides to not chewing them.
