Okay so I just moved to a new area. It's not so savory. The man who runs the shop across the road is lovely.

Walked into his shop yesterday to hear another "gent" saying cheerio whilst lifting a nice pack of locally produced pakora.

Do I keep quiet or do I say something? Bear in mind grasses get slashes around here and I'm not joking. I'll be known for being a grass and that'll get me stabbed. Do I just let the lovely shop owner get fucked over?

I fucking hate this world some days.

Just say something. Its the right thing to do. Better yet next time if this happens ask the dude loudly if he plans on paying.

It's happened so there isn't much the shop owner can do now, but it's probably worth mentioning just so he can keep an eye on the character next time he's around. No need for you to be mentioned at all.
