No, it doesn't. You do need to remember your password or still have access to the email address you gave when you signed up though.

It technically can be wiped and the username allowed to be reused after a period of inactivity.

Its in the "abandoned account" section of blua but as far as I know that doesnt happen usually and cant recall when an account is considered abandoned but I think its 3 months.
