I've started Mianserin about a month ago.
In extremely rare circumstances, it is known to cause agranulocytosis - huge drop in white blood cell count.
This was the reason it was actually withdrawn in Australia.

My white blood cell count went from 3.74 to 3.15, lympocytes about 1.4 to 1.2.

Historically, I've had a relatively low WBC count, as does my mother.

Are them figures anything to worry about?

Is this a common occurrence with some meds?

Not yet they're not, no, that could be natural variation. See what they come to on another test.

Various meds can have even more profound side-effects (eg aplastic anaemia!). You'd sometimes be put under observation if the risk is great enough and your doctor knows about it.
