You can run, but you can’t hide…
We’ve just extradited a man from the UK and arrested and charged him for serious drug offences.
He’d been living there for about five years.
We’re alleging that he and a co-conspirator arranged for six consignments of pseudoephedrine pills to be imported to Australia from Kenya in 2014 and 2015.
These pills had an estimated street value of $1.5M.

Chinese drug syndicate busted as police find $240m ephedrine haul

TWO Chinese nationals have been arrested for trying to import 300kg of the lethal stimulant ephedrine — used to make ice — as border cops and police raided 10 properties in western Sydney.

The men, aged in their 20s, were part of a broad crime syndicate which arranged for tool boxes, car radiators and wall hangings to be jammed with enough ephedrine for 240 million “hits” for Australian users.

They used encrypted devices to avoid detection but their importation method was basic — all 50 parcels were found in Sydney’s international mail centre at Clyde, near Parramatta.

The drugs, police said, had a street value of $240 million.

So someone here may remember me.

Hello fellow aussie bluelighters. My first post in a long long time. You shall see why... Back in April 2012 I was happily minding my own business and had to go out and pickmy girlfriend up from the hairdressers. I never made it home. Ive searched the forums etc as ive only very recently gained online computer access (legally) and I couldnt find if this ever got posted. So heres MY bust story. This is the article from when I was sentenced. It paints a picture of someone who actually didnt get caught with much quantity but was one of the first 'Silk Road Dealers' to go down in the country - I guess the story reads better that way. But really the only charge that arose from Silkroad use was supply 143g MDMA. Which was just what was unfortunately whT I had packaged up ready to send. Other than that they couldn't pull much from SR. So the actual big charge I went down on (and got 10.5years prison total for with 5.5year non-parole period) Was "Supply (possess for purpose of supply) Large Commercial Qty. Mdma"

(750g in pills - DALcert @ 36.4 percent purity on .3g Pills and a further 600g in powder - DALcert @ 87.6percent purity)

"Supply Prohibited Drug" - being the Mdma in relation to Silkroad

"Deal Proceeds of Crime" - being only $14,000 odd in cash.

The other charges that went on whats called a form 1 were;

"Possess for purpose of supply 17.2g Ketamine"
Possess for purpose of supply 14.2g Cocaine"
"Possess Prohibited Drug 46g Cannabis"
"Possess Prohibited Drug 1.757NN-dimethyltryptamine" - very good legal team to get this qty down to a possession charge. Savedme a few yrs in jail for sure.
"Possess for purpose of supply 25g Methylamphetamine" - DALcert @ 93.2percent
"Supply Prohibited Drug 4.75g Ketamine" - also relating to SR
"Possess Prescribed Restricted Substance - Sildenafil (Viagra) 40 Tablets"
"Possess Prescribed Restricted Substance - Taladafil (Cialis) 40 Tablets"

Im sure they only did the paperwork to charge me for those last two so it had to be mentioned in court. To embarrass me perhaps? As the 27 bottles of 2mg xanax (genuine pfizer I may add. My babies are no longer available in my favourite glass bottle - if anyone has an EMPTY pfizer bottle theyd sellme please pm me!) they didnt charge me for, nor the boxes of oxycodone or bottles of rivotril. So I can only conclude that they were just being cunts and tryin to embarass me as it was a useless charge in the scheme of things. They also seized and charged me withva myriad of other drugs and chemicals but they were deemed minor enough to not proceed with if I plead tothe major ones. Lsd, mushrooms, nbomes's, about 5 different 2C-compounds, probably a few others that have slipped my mind. Oneday when Im completely released ill go through my paperwork again to remind myself of the better times haha. Anyway Bluelighters Im gonna post this in the Social thread, Im not sure if im meant to copy and paste the article or just the link so seeing I wrote somuch Ill just pop the link up. Btw Im wondering if anyone remeber my username from the original SR back in late 2011/early 2012. I was one of only 3 Aussie sellers back then and we each had our own different substances we specialized in. Mine was Meth, Pills/MDMA and Ketamine. 100percent Positive Feedback which I was proud of haha. Thought id register under that username for old times sake. A lot has changed in that world since I was out. When a bitcoin was worth <$5AUD. Take care Bluelighters I hope you enjoyed the read. Also as far as self incrimination goes.... I think its pretty obvious that I can openly mention all this as it islublic record. If staff feelotherwise then feel free to edit/delete or inform me! In relation to the article and my overall sentence. I Have an incredible legal team (and incredible family and friends for helping to pay for said legals) on my side, who took a real interest in my case and getting the best possible result as it was the first of its kind in nsw courts (due tothe Silkroad aspect) My maturity and Young age helped me immensely in sentencing as did strong family support and the judge deeming me a low risk of re-offending. All these factors got me a really good sentence which I am forever grateful for as it could have been a whole lotworse

Hah was thinking the same, man didn't have a ton, but def couldn't say it was for personal use lol. Glad you had a good legal team to get you the best deal possible.

I'd of loved to have 27 bottles of Pfizer bars.

Yeah, those glass bottles sound pretty cool. I wish I'd saved more of my pharmacy paraphenalia--Marinol bottles, OxyIR bottles. Never had one of the glass Actavis pints but that would have been pretty sweet. I'm always on the lookout at antique shops.

Believe me even though I had 27 at one stage there isnt much I wouldnt give for one bottle of pfizer bars now...

South Australian man arrested for attempted possession of MDMA

Y3HrnTh.png

A 22-year-old Klemzig (South Australia) man has been charged with the attempted possession of more than half a kilogram of MDMA (ecstasy).

The joint investigation between the Australian Federal Police (AFP), South Australia Police (SAPOL) and Australian Border Force (ABF) began on 26 March 2017 when ABF officers at the Melbourne International Mail Facility examined an international mail package from France.

The consignment was found to contain a crystalline substance weighing around 500 grams which initially tested positive for MDMA.

The matter was referred to the AFP and on 30 March 2017 officers conducted a controlled operation involving a delivery to the man’s residence in Klemzig.

Following the delivery, a search warrant took place during which AFP members located the consignment along with a number of hazardous chemicals (pictured) associated with drug production. Due to the nature of these chemicals SAPOL’s clan lab team attended and seized the hazardous chemicals.

Further drug-related items were located and seized including ketamine, border controlled drug pre-cursor chemicals, scales, packaging and electronic items.

The 22-year-old man was arrested by the AFP for the attempted possession of the border controlled drug MDMA and was conveyed to the AFP Adelaide Airport Station.

AFP Detective Superintendent Sandra Booth, Coordinator Operations and Intelligence, said working with our partners is essential to fighting drug crime.

“We know the fight against drug crime is not won by one agency alone,” Detective Superintendent Booth said.

“Drug seizures such as this demonstrate the flexibility of our investigators, and the strength of the partnerships we have both here and overseas.”

South Australia Police Detective Chief Inspector Tony Crameri, Investigations Manager, Drug and Organised Crime Task Force said, "SAPOL will continue to partner with other agencies in the fight against illicit drugs".

ABF Regional Commander Central Region, Rachel Houghton, said the ability of the ABF and partners to detect and disrupt criminal activity has never been stronger.

“Our sophisticated intelligence and targeting capability aims to to identify these substances at the border before they reach our communities,” Commander Houghton said.

“The South Australian community can rest assured that we, along with our partners, will continue to evolve and find new ways to disrupt this dangerous trade and target those people who attempt to profit from it.”

The alleged offender received police bail and is due to appear before the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 19 May 2017.

^Damn, these kids get on the dark web and think they can get away with ordering a half kilo of a smelly drug from half a world away...

Yeah, at least the punishment for it isnt too bad over here in comparison with some of our Asian neighbours.

I posted this bust in the ice thread, but since it's our biggest ever meth bust (apparently) i'll post it here too -

Australia makes 'largest ever' ice drug seizure in nation's history worth $900m

Australian authorities have revealed the largest ever haul of the drug ice in the nation's history was found hidden inside planks of wood that had been shipped to Melbourne.

Two men, a 53-year-old Blackburn man and a 36-year-old Doncaster man, have been charged with drug trafficking after the discovery of the record 903kg haul originating from Asia, valued at almost $900 million.

Australian Federal Police images show the huge quantity of the drug concealed inside wooden floorboards that were found at a Nunawading property in Melbourne’s east.

The floorboards had to be forensically deconstructed to extract the methamphetamine. Two kilograms was found between each floorboard.

NT man charged after huge kava seizure

galiwinku_kava.jpg

A Northern Territory man has allegedly tried to smuggle more than $130,000 worth of kava into the remote Indigenous community of Galiwinku.
5 APR 2017 - 2:37 PM UPDATED 58 MINS AGO

Police charged the 35-year-old Galiwinku man on Tuesday, alleging he’d separated the kava into more than a thousand deal bags and tried to smuggle them into airport freight.

"This haul had a potential profit of more than $130,000,” Senior Constable Tania Smith said.

"The kava, which was destined for Galiwinku, had been separated into more than 1300 deal bags ready for sale," she added.

"Persons profiting from the distribution of kava in remote communities cause considerable social and health problems as well as serious economic hardship."

The charges follow a lengthy six-month investigation.

The man is expected to appear in Darwin Local Court on May 9.

Socialite Kirsty Dayment taken into custody ahead of sentence for drug supply

Eastern suburbs socialite turned drug dealer Kirsty Dayment took off her jewellery, surrendered her designer handbag, and blew a kiss to her family.

Then she followed two Corrective Services officers down to the cells at the Downing Centre.

Judge Sarah Huggett revoked Dayment's bail in the NSW District Court on Tuesday, after giving her lawyers time over the weekend to discuss an element of one of the drug charges against her.

Dayment, 35, has pleaded guilty to supplying 85 grams of cocaine, supplying a smaller quantity of an illicit drug, and knowingly take part in supplying a large commercial quantity of MDMA.

Her barrister April Francis told the court there was evidence Dayment was actively trying to leave the Coogee apartment she shared with her boyfriend and co-offender Nicholas Riganias at the time of her arrest.

Her role in the MDMA supply charge is only her knowledge of the drug being stored in the apartment, the court heard.

But Judge Huggett noted Dayment's fingerprints were found on the drug packaging, describing hers as a "fairly vital role in the supply".

In written sentencing submissions for Dayment, barrister Ian Lloyd, QC, said her offending was less serious "given the offender appears to have been acting at the behest of her boyfriend, the co-offender Riganias".

Mr Lloyd wrote that Dayment was of previous good character, and that the 61 days in custody after her arrest had taught her a "timely and salutary lesson".

He said Dayment was not motivated by personal greed.

"Rather, her motives appear to be repaying debt from a failed business and also pleasing a new partner after fleeing from an abusive domestic relationship."

Dayment was suffering from post traumatic stress disorder at the time of the crimes, Mr Lloyd said.

"The submission is that the offender is very much at a cross roads in her life, having spent some time in custody prior to being bailed.

"She is now moving towards a total rehabilitation."

Mr Lloyd had argued that Dayment be sentenced to an intensive corrections order – a form of house arrest – at a hearing in March, noting she was three months pregnant.

Judge Huggett quickly rejected that submission and said Dayment would have to give birth in custody.

But last week the court heard Dayment had a miscarriage, and the judge said she would consider that upon sentencing.

Police stormed Riganias' and Dayment's apartment on Arden Street, Coogee, in July 2015 after a six-month investigation into drug supply in the eastern suburbs.

Riganias has pleaded guilty to a range of drug offences, including supplying 1.36 kilograms of MDMA.

He now works as a sweeper in custody, court documents said.

The couple will be sentenced later this month.

What qualifies her a "socialite?" Is that just a nice way of saying a pretty person who contributes to the economy by drinking in clubs and having sex with wealthy men?

WATCH: Large drug haul sparks police concern about festival

UPDATE 6.40pm: MASSIVE drug seizures and disturbing drug testing results are among fresh concerns police hold for the future of a Northern Rivers festival.

Acting crime manager, Mick Smith said police weren't aware of any drug overdoses at the Rabbits Eat Lettuce festival but are concerned about officers' reports up to 60% of party-goers were physically affected by drugs.

Detective Acting Inspector Smith said the figures were bolstered by the random drug testing operation that found one in three vehicles stopped tested positive for prohibited drugs.

"We will be working with the organisers and local government to determine the future of this festival," Det Acting Insp Smith said.

"We are trying to work with these organisations to make these events a safe place for young people to attend."

Event organiser, Erik Lamar said Rabbits Eat Lettuce aimed to promote "healthy living, music, art and culture" and tried to avoid being "seen as a market place for criminals wishing to profit from drug trade."

He said organisers would continue to work with police to prevent gate crashers and drug dealers smuggling in commercial quantities of illegal drugs.

UPDATE 11.50am: A FRENCH national is among a number of alleged drug dealers nabbed by police at a controversial music festival west of Byron Bay on the Easter long weekend.

Acting crime manager for the Richmond Local Area Command, Mick Smith say police allege they found a variety of illegal drugs on a 23-year-old international visitor at the 10th annual Rabbits Eat Lettuce Festival, which was held at a private farm at Kippenduff.

Acting Detective Inspector Smith said the foreigner was found to be in possession of a mixed bag of drugs including magic mushrooms, ketamine, cannabis and MDMA on Saturday, April 15.

He said at least another three people have been charged with supplying and possessing prohibited drugs, which police allege were to be transported to the festival.

Acting Det Insp Smith said the largest find of the weekend blitz was at a mobile drug detection unit set up on the main road into the festival at Fullers Rd, Rappville where police found a massive stash of 2000 tablets believed to be MDMA and a small quantity of cannabis.

9-3741833-lis180417drughaul02_fct1024x768_ct460x345.jpg

A woman, 18 and man, 20 were arrested by police at the site following the seizure of the drugs from their vehicle on Friday, April 14.

The crime manager described the find as "the largest detection" police have had relating to festivals across the command.

Acting Det Insp Smith said police are working to confirm if the tablets seized are MDMA.

He said police are concerned about the uncertain nature of the pills and the risk it would have created a greater risk for those purchasing the drugs.

Acting Det Smith praised the officers involved, saying it was a "good result" for the safety of festival-goers to remove the large haul of drugs from potential circulation at the event.

Last Friday morning, a 21-year old man police allege was en route to the festival was apprehended by police in Centre St, Casino.

9-3741835-lis180417drughaul03_t460.jpg

Following a search, the officers discovered the man concealed about 76 tablets believed to be MDMA.

He is expected to appear at Casino Local Court on May 3.

The French national, the 20-year-old man and 18-year-old woman were refused bail to appear at Lismore Local Court today.

Rabbits Eat Lettuce festival organiser, Erik Lamar said he is thankful for police efforts in ensuring safety at the event.

"We are grateful to NSW police for the potential prevention of commercial quantities of illegal substances being brought into the event, however it is not known if the offenders caught in casino were en route to the event.

"At this stage it does not appear they were ticket holders," Mr Lamar said.

Festival organisers have come under fire by police previously with the launch party for the 2015 Rabbits Eat Lettuce festival being shut down near Coffs Harbour.

TUESDAY 6.10am: POLICE have arrested and charged two people for drug supply after a vehicle stop south of Casino.

About 11.30am on Friday, police stopped a vehicle at a Random Breath Testing site on Nadabah Street, Rappville.

Police formed cause to search the vehicle, and during the search, allegedly located a large amount of MDMA tablets, and a small amount of cannabis.

Two occupants, a man aged 20 and a female aged 18, were arrested.

They were taken to Casino Police Station where the man was charged with supplying a large commercial quantity of prohibited drug, supply indictable quantity of prohibited drug, and possess prohibited drug.

The woman was charged with supplying a large commercial quantity of prohibited drug, and possess prohibited drug

They were both refused bail and appeared at Lismore Local Court on Saturday, where they were remanded in custody to reappear today.

As a result of these arrests and further inquiries, Queensland Police charged two further males with drug trafficking offences after a search warrant in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane on Saturday.
