Benzos Xanax at a party

So I have 1 bar of xanax (2mg) and am going to have it at a party tonight. I can't drink because I have a sore throat and don't want it to get worse and I have xanax on me so I thought I might aswell. I've only had it one other time and as soon as it kicked in I had to go to sleep (took it at a late time idk why but it was pointless) so I've never really truly experienced the high. Will this help me in any way in pulling chicks and socialising? But most importantly... will I have fun?! Also should I have the entire 2mg or less?

No reason to use swim here... It's against the rules too.

When you say "1 bar" of Xanax I assume that is a 2mg bar?

Will you have fun? Maybe. Xanax reduces anxiety and lowers inhibition so you'll probably have an easier time socializing and flirting but it is not inherintely a euphoric drug so it won't necessarily make you feel good. You may feel more loose and more apt to have fun but you may also just feel sedated.

Often times people on benzos like Xanax don't fully feel the intoxication. You may not realize your acting different and you may not even feel the effects necessarily. Just don't make the mistake of taking any more... Otherwise you may black out and act stupid.
 
You have taken it one other time? That would not help you socialize and pull chicks man that would make you either go right to sleep or act like youre a zombie and not be able to be understood by anybody. Xanax = no party use unless you a regular popper
 
Don't take the whole thing 2 mg alprazolam (the active ingredient in xanax) is a lot for a person with no tolerance and will either knock you out or make you do stupid stuff you wont remember later or both.

If you want to take it take like 0.5 mg (I believe the original 2 mg xanax bars are scored in a way that taking a quarter should be very simple)..... you'll feel kinda drunk but not really... idk if it'll help you pull chicks or have fun, if anxiety is preventing you from doing those things then yeah the xanax will probably help.

Also if you take the xanax don't drink any alcohol (sure lots of people do but they have crazy tolerances which you don't nor do you want to have them).

^ This is good advice. I don't consider Xanax to be a party drug, more like a sleepy time drug.
 
Yeah I'm not sure how anyone can say Xanax has a buzz aside from the relief of anxiety. As others have said 2mg at once will either KO you for the night or make you seem like a drunken idiot with your tolerance.

Xanax effects cognition in a very subtle way. In the users mind they are acting completely rationally and may only perceive a very mild intoxication, when in reality you are acting very recklessly. Also you may not plan on having a drink but if you manage to stay awake long enough to be active you might decide to throw caution out the window and drink a little which is a recipe for severe blackouts and it's happened to me numerous times. You experienced the full effects of Xanax the first time you took it.
 
Depends on body weight and what not but 2 mg of canax has a high potential of making you sleepy.
Everybody is different with the black outs like 1 bar will not black me out and It could be fun at a party depending on your temperament

OP, for no tolerance, 2 mg is a bad idea. With your tolerance, .5 mg to 1 mg at most. Like everyone said, you can easily black out and act a fool, or just be KO'ed. In this case less is more. Lowering anxiety is one thing, but using it for any type of "buzz" is a bad idea.

So op did you go to the party and take some xanax? How was it? How much did you take?

Stop complaining I wasn't "bragging about tolerance" I was simply stating that he might not black out because I have no tolerance and I was just giving him some personal insight so stop being so damn preachy

Just to give you my own point of view, I think it can help with socializing, but I wouldn't count on any "fun", unless that is fun organic to your experience, that is to say, just the fun you're having from the music or other activities you enjoy. Benzos are more subtle, and I've hardly ever noticed much euphoria from them.

I'd also like to point out that if you make any significant leeway with girls, the benzos might come back to bite you, erectionally speaking.

I would take less, or not even bother, depending on your ability to socialize.

Just noticed this was like 4 days ago. The party's got to be over by now, and if it's not, I'm sure you aren't giving a damn about a little bit of alprazolam at this point.
