So I read a lot of multi vitamins are actually synthetic and really don't do shit for you. They say to buy the whole food concentrate ones which cost a little more. But if the other synthetic ones aren't doing shit the extra money is worth it. Anybody have any opinion on this?

One of the problems with classic multi-vit tablets is that they're often not very bioavailable and don't absorb well, and some minerals in the tablets actually block the absorption of others. Getting the nutrients through food - which is more readily absorbed through the intestines - is thus preferable.

However, if you eat a balanced diet with plenty of vegetables, fruit, nuts, protein and good oils, you won't really need any supplements unless you have a specific reason (illness, exercise regimen etc). And too much of some supplements could in fact be counterproductive.
