Hey, thanks for the beautiful new thread, veodo!:)<3

Spring is in the air where I live. Everything is waking up. Wake up your inner self! Re-experience being brand new again! Remember that you are always recreating yourself and mistakes and missteps are a necessary part of the process; from the moment you took your first gulp of air until your last breath, you have creative control. we are all trying to fight the imposters in our own heads, whether it is a drug addiction or an addiction to a false story or addiction to fear. Whatever the voices in your head are that insist they are in control, remember that just like Toto pulling the curtain back, you can expose the wizard for the fraud he is. You hold the creative license for you. (((<3))) to everyone on a path to recovery.

thanks for creating the thread buddy :)

hope everyone's first of the month is going smoothly

Hey guys...crazy being on BL again, although I just used it as a resource for all things drugs. But alas, after 15 years of dope, I've been clean since 10/09/2015.

Captain-Heroin, so great to see you are staying clean! Your posts were always the most knowledgeable and well written, even in rehab and sober living people from all over know you man! You've helped a lot of people! Blessings.

So I came back to BL because I have major circulatory issues in my hands and feet, and doctors have not been able to help. I figured nobody knows junkie recovery like recovering junkies, and that you guys might be able to help me in the right direction!

Don't get me wrong, I am very grateful that I walked away from a decade of IV tar heroin without much worse than swollen and color-changing cold hands and feet...the human body is SO resilient, truly incredible. But it is very uncomfortable, painful at times, and looks really weird.

Since I got clean, I have finally been able to become an attorney, and I I am really self-conscious about clients and other lawyers staring at my hands and having to make up bs as to what's going on.

Anyhow, if anybody here who has made it back to the light as of today has any experience on circulatory healing or complications after IV addiction, it woulld mean a lot to me if you could get in touch with me or we could start a discussion. Resolution or even some direction on this would be great.

Love and blessings everyone! What a miracle huh? ?❤️??

Hey buddy! I'm really bad at using this site, but can you check out my post below when you have a chance? Appreciate it bro. Blessings. ?

This is an amazing resource you guys, well done on getting this going, whoever you are! We DO recover. ??

Speaking for all BL staff, I feel it's safe to say that it is most definitely our pleasure serving your online harm reduction needs. ¡Viva la rainbow of harm reduction! ;)

Here is a link to the thread I started for you in OD with your original post Requiem (just in case you were wondering where it disappeared to :)): https://bluelight.org/vb/threads/81...atory-Vascular-System?p=13968922#post13968922

Glad to have you back on BL!

thanks. I didn't start it but I've been here for over 2 years, 4 months counting my clean time and it's always been a great place to read/post :)

Mr. Humble Pie himself :D but in all fairness with your vast experience and all, you are kind of a BL icon. Plus you chose your username very wisely indeed my friend ;)

A) That's a great story about your handle's genesis, CH!

B) @Requiem88...thank you so much for the kind words about SL. You're right--it is a great community.

6 months sober xD!!

Yesterday I had an opportunity to go and speak to about 100+ doctors about the disease of addiction and alcoholism. I was able to carry the message.

I will graduate from the rehab that I've been at for the last 6 months around the end of March, and will start working in the office upon completion and will have the privilege and honor to help other addicts and alcoholics suffering from this disease. I will be taking a 'peer support specialist' class and will be a certified peer support specialist! I will not be stopping there, I will be working on the hours, and everything I will need in becoming a certified drug and alcohol counselor. :)

^^
Fantastic work, D's. Six fucking months. That's some serious progress.

Congrats simco!
I have been sober while on ORT since last fall.

I never thought I had a problem until I got and stayed sober.

Just stopped by to say hi all you SL-ers! Been a while.

March 4 2016 was when I'd had an important revelation and realized the path I was on would lead to ruin and death. While I never cold-turkey'd it, I changed course, and am healthy as I've ever been! Hope you all are doing well! Stay determined, inspired, and always feel free to get over oneself. (Key!) <3
