I've been a Rush fan for a long while. The first time I heard "Working Man" and "Tom Sawyer", Geddy Lee,
Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart were permenately put in my head.

What Rush fans do we have out there?

Any favorite albums, songs, shows?

40 years and still touring

My current favorite song is YYZ

Moving Pictures seems to be a great album. I'm currently listening to "Exit...Stage Left, 1981. Pretty nice. Being around for 40 years, they play and sound excellent.

Saw Rush on their 'Timewarp' Tour. Longest concert I've ever been to, they had two encores hahah.

Favorite album is definitely Power Windows. I highly recommend it.

I'll check it out. I now have their first album. I picked it up yesterday. Next time they come to town, I'll try to see them. I'm checking out more, but I really like YYZ ATM. I'll look for power windows today. There are perks to working in a music store!

They play near me every tour, because our city's rock n roll station was close enough to Canada to pick them up. We started playing them and they got way more popular then they were. Mind you this was the early 70's.

I can't wait to see them live.

That probably isnt going to happen...
hopefully theyll do a couple one offs in the future
Neil's fed up & tired of touring
Alex has pretty bad arthritis/ psoriasis

"Timewarp Tour"
Time Machine tour 2010 maybe?

They use to play MI. often, in & out on their tour dates
when I was young & lived there

I'll put A Farewell to Kings & Hemispheres (& of course Moving Pictures)
@ the top of hundred concerts Ive been to

Yeah, Time Machine Tour in 2010.

They said that was their last tour then yet they just toured again, so I wouldn't count them out yet.

Nah...it was just their 35th-6th anniversary tour
Neil said fuckall w/ the drum touring life during the
2015 40th-1st anni' tour

You know weve told you before
but you didnt hear us then
so you still question why
no you didnt listen again

Farewell to the Kings...

I'll except whatever. When Geddy Lee was on That Metal Show or wtf on VH1 classic, Geddy sounded like it was open ended. Either way, if they quit, it's deserved. If they take a break for a while, that's well deserved

They do deserve it Speed King...
they were on an unforseen break between 97'-2000
heavy tragedy for Neil
if you want a great read, check out Ghost Rider (author) Neil Peart
(tells a story as well as he plays drums)

Edit: everytime I see your handle, it reminds me of In Rock (Deep Purple)
one of my all time faves'

I'll check the book out. Neil Pert is one of my favorite drummers.

Btw, afa the handle, I saw Deep Purple in concert. They opened with Speed King and that was one of the reasons for the handle besides other things.

I like Rush, was one of my favorite bands in middle school before I became a little wankster and got into rap music

my top 3 songs would probably be

1. Red Barchetta
2. Working Man
3. Spirit of the Radio

anyone remember this Family Guy where Chester Cheeto snorts crushed up cheetos and goes "Neil Peart is the best fucking drummer ever"

2112 -my favourite Rush album. Best concept prog rock of all time .
The Hemispheres album released in 1978, recommended if you like prog rock too ( the-track La Villa Strangiato has got some great guitar work by Alex Lifeson)
Great band - and proof positive that top rock music can also be accompanied by intelligent, thought provoking lyrics -it can be done!
