Combined Reagent Disposal Smell

When I pour a marquis + mandelin + liebermann + mecke reagent down the drain, it all combines and quickly produces this bad smell. Sort of a rotten smell.

Do you think those fumes are toxic?

Also, what's the right way to dispose of these things because the drain starts to smell bad.

Yes, those fumes are likely to be quite bad to inhale in high concentrations.

If you need to dispose of a reagent test, pour it into a large container of water (over 0.5L) to dilute it and then put it down the drain. Just like how they react with drugs, they will also react with other things if they don't get diluted first.

Seems like it'd be simple to predict what it's doing. It's just chemistry, let's see here...
H2SO4 + CH2O + NH4VO3 + V2O5 + NO2- + (HO)2SeO + H20 = smell bad

If someone wants to solve that and get back to me please do.

You're assuming there's nothing in your drain that might create the rotten smell - I would say this is the main culprit!

And it's "just" chemistry doesn't mean it's simple!

Haha! I only speak from experience, just putting scalding water down mine liberated a rather dubious odour recently.
