Songs you can barely listen to without losing your composure emotionally

This song always brings tears to my eyes. Idk if many people here like Coldplay, their music turned so poppy starting with Viva la Vida, but their first three albums were simply amazing:



I dig the Spiritualized sigmond, I discovered that band via the 'music on dissociatives' thread over in PD 8o That album had me balling my eyes out one time while I was holing on MXE. Good stuff!

Cosmic Giraffe - I saw The Shins when they toured for that album way back in 2005. Pink Bullets live was surely a heart-render and still makes me tear up to this day

Lost by Camp Cope - new-ish, Australian indie (for want of a better word) outfit. I'm sure there is some musical trickery going on but that song makes my eyes water regularly.

you know i obnoxiously post/embed videos to rap music, so don't doubt i tried LOL. it is only on the album, the video on youtube doesn't have the extended "eddie kane" track. other links wouldn't be legit

Shout to my man TODD. The day of school after BIGGIE died, he hijacked the mic in the school office and gave a R.I.P. shoutout to Notorious BIG outta nowhere over the loudspeaker. He suffered severe consequences from the administration, but all us Brooklyn cats in that school (in Queens) showed him mad love and protection for the resta the year.

^Love Bankrupt on Selling. My old roommate used to play it on his guitar sometimes. It sure does capture the perfect tone.

Modest Mouse reminds me of my early days in college. Thanks for that, I had forgotten about them for the past couple years.
 
For sure :) they seem to be that way for a lot of people. Reminding them of a time of transition maybe losing or "finding" onesself. Very emotional, but they remind me of a time when I was at my lowest as well, feeling sorry for myself. I still like to listen every once in a while though. A nice verse from Talkin Shit about a Pretty Sunset-"Changed my mind so much I can't even trust it, my mind changed me so much I can't even trust myself."
