I figured I'd write up a little something, because before I took my first pill last night, I struggled to find many accounts of the experience (likely due to the rarity of the drug). Thus, I figured I'd share my experience and bring some insight to the masses. To start, sources will not be discussed, but if you are tech-savvy enough, these can be fairly easily acquired. That's all I will say on that!
Brief background on my personal drug experience (for reference): Daily marijuana user since age of 16 (I'm 27), daily oxycodone user from 21-23, daily heroin user 23-26. I've tried basically every drug on the mainstream drug markets with the exception of meth. The past year I have slipped back and forth on the heroin, I am currently 1 week clean from the drug, and decided to embrace total abstinence (including MJ). However, I had arranged for these Quaaludes prior to my cleaning up, and needless to say, I could not help myself upon arrival.
The pills I got are 300mg clandestine-lab made, with a stamped-imprint that says BOSS. They are the biggest pills I've ever seen. It's like the width of an ecstasy QUAD stack, and the diameter of a QUARTER. For me, def a little uncomfortable to swallow, but taste was not bad at all (I'll get more into that later).
(Note: When I eat marijuana edibles, it takes AT LEAST 2 hours before I feel it normally, many people tell me its closer to a half hour-hour range for them, so that could also be the reason these ludes took so long to take effect.)
At about 5pm I swallowed one 300mg pill. An hour later I was talking to my friend on the phone, and basically telling him I was underwhelmed, and just felt tired.
Just under 2 hours after ingestion, I felt a slight increase in high, but nothing major. At this point I decided to try smoking a bowl of marijuana, as I had researched in South Africa Quaaludes are extemely common, and actually smoked/free-based MIXED-IN with marijuana. I did not follow this scheme exactly; I swallowed the pill, and about an hour and forty-five minutes later, I smoked a bowl of clean, dispensary purchased marijuana, lol.
BAM! Almost instantly after adding weed to the effect, a very noticeable euphoria set in. I put on music and felt great. I put on a documentary, sat down, and loved that too. It reminded me of the first time I snorted a roxy/oxy, but slightly different... Definitely it's own class of drug (not better or worse, just unique).
The euphoria was the primary effect for a good 2 hours (at least) which was a really pleasant surprise. About 4 hours after ingestion, the total loss of motor coordination set-in. This is where the movie "Wolf of Wall Street" hit the nail on the head, Dicaprio really presents it almost perfectly. Certainly there was a growing loss of motor dexterity from the very beginning, but it clearly intensified 4-hours post-ingestion. I stood up and immediately fell back to my bed. I could walk, but had to do so slowly with keen focus on my balance. Oddly, my head-space was fairly lucid. I was certainly fucked up, but I was well-aware of it. I knew driving would be a death-sentence and ordered some food.
The best comparison I can give is something like a mix of snorting a roxy (back when just 30mg made you feel like the fucking man) and a medium-light dose of ketamine. I say ketamine because the loss of motor functioning was closer to K than alcohol, but it wasn't trippy at all, so I could see why some people would compare it to alcohol instead. But still, I really think oxy + non-trippy ketamine is the best analogy to describe the effect.
Food showed up, I ate it, and then slept almost immediately, lol.
I decided to take half a pill this morning as I have the day off, and wanted to see what a lower-dose would yield because the loss of motor-skills was a little more than I would've liked. Don't get me wrong, euphoria was awesome, and it was fun when I was all wobbly and tingly, but I like to still function on drugs. But that's how the physical sensation is, it's almost like you're so sensitive that everything feels intense and throws you off balance! An old-timer once described it to me as a cross between xanax and ecstacy (without any trippyness), which is also a pretty good description; but I think my analogy is the most accurate (oxy + ketamine).
I'm just under 3 hours post ingestion of approximately 150mg (the pill was tricky to split), and the euphoria isn't far from what I felt last-night. Motor skills still impaired, but I can walk without concentrating on it, haha. Then again, that could change in another hour, so we'll see.
Some things to consider:
There was a bit of a hangover this morning, not like alcohol though, more like the hangover of a benzo or an opiate, or somewhere in between. Also, when I split the pill, some pieces sort of flaked off into powder. I was nervous it would make me gag like a pinky of mollie, but really was not a noticeable taste at all, and I swallowed it with seltzer. So if you have fruit juice or something, or even water, it wont taste bad even if you have to swallow half a crushed pill.
I was considering snorting the pill, but it's so huge it would be so much powder, and it's really not necessary.
I will report back if any significant changes happen, but I am very pleased with this (approximate) 150mg dose, and 300mg will certainly get the job done for any and every junky or naive-user. I truly believe my drug experience and tolerance had no effect on my ability to tolerate the dose, as it truly is a completely different class of drug.
