Also, due to being considerably smaller, they are much less conspicuous and easier to hide.

Yeah. The autos have some ruderalis cannabis crossed in to bring in the autoflowering trait. Ruderalis is rubbish on its own but crossing it with high grade can give some decent results. You will never get big yields and as BCF potency is affected but its a good option for you UK folk.

I think my work here is done for the day. No threads derailed but i did manage to edit a few of FUBARs post. Goodnight all. Enjoy your Sunday.

Ahem...

On a different note, my first 3 autos of the year have now been deployed.

This time, I've planted the seeds directly into the pot without germinating first to minimise any risk of accidents or stressing the seedlings.

Each 20L tub was drilled with numerous 10mm drainage holes in the bottom accounting for approximately 50% of the surface area.

A layer of 20 to 30mm diameter pebbles was then placed at the bottom to assist drainage and prevent soil loss.

The tubs were filled to 2/3 capacity with my 'hot mix' of compost, perlite and other organic nutrients.

The remaining 1/3 was filled with a cooler mix of multipurpose compost and perlite.

Finally, in the middle of this top layer, a fibre pot containing John Innes No.1 seed compost was sunk in level with the surface.

A dibber was used to make a hole approx one inch deep in the middle of each fibre pot.

A light sprinkling of mycorrhiza was placed in the bottom of the hole, covered with a layer of No.1 compost, then the seed, then a final layer of compost.

All tubs were given a light watering and placed on bricks in my 'growbag greenhouse'.

Now I sit and wait.

As an experiment, I dug 5 earthworms from my garden and introduced them into one of the tubs to see if they will have a beneficial affect.

At the end of the month, I'll start another 3 plants and probably make some adjustments depending upon how the first lot are doing.

I've got a hunch that in recent years the development of autoflowers has really snowballed and these days they're almost on par with your regular photoperiod crops.

A good look anyhoo, pop them in your greenhouse and let them do their thing. :D

It might have but so have full size strains.

There is no way an auto is yielding the same in 7 weeks from planting seed to harvest as an indica/sativa hybrid that takes 7 weeks probably before it's ready to flower then potentially another 7-16 weeks flowering, look how much longer it has to grow to produce more and bigger flowers.

FUBAR has the right idea. For a stealth grow outside in a polytunnel or similar, autos are a winner. If you can do it indoors though you would be much better to use hybrid strains which grow much larger, and produce a much higher % of the active compounds THC, CBD, etc. The fact autos all stem from ruderalis crosses is kind of the problem, it gives them the auto flowering gene, but ruderalis itself is almost devoid of any THC. And as such a lot of autos are low in THC, like 5-8% which when you look at it like that is lower than a lot of Moroccan hash these days.

Sorry I should have clarified in terms of potency, not yield.

Agree'd that the general strength of cannabis is getting pretty crazy these days. Was having a gander at this yesterday, serious mark up:

Im eagerly awaiting the Auto version of Frisian Duck. For those that don't know, this is a new strain of Frisian Dew, (of which I grew 3 autos outside last year and produced a perfectly good smoke), which has had a mutation bred into it resulting in leaves which are virtually unrecognisable as cannabis to the untrained eye. As soon as an auto strain is produced, my flower beds are getting filled with the fuckers.

We have a strain down here called duckfoot. Webbed leaves. Also google ABC strain. Aussie Bastard Cannabis. Does not look like weed at all really. Not a great smoke though. The Canadians were doing crosses with ABC not sure how successful they were. I saw an ABC garden in veg state and you would walk straight past it.

Looks like i will talk to myself in Gibz. GOOD MORNING FUCKERS ITS FUCKING MONDAY MORNING 6:30AM. So it basically sucks to be me. The only consolation in this living in the future shit is it will be Friday afternoon here before you poor cunts. But today it sucks. Coffee, more coffee...and i cant even have a bacon and egg roll cause i forgot to buy any yesterday. Fucking Mondays. I blame FUBAR

Fuck off with your time traveling witchcraft you cunt..... :)

Holy fuck pyjamas 8o

Be gone with you and your planet spinning time zone :p

How's dad? And importantly, how are you bearing up?

Don't know why I'm complaining, Monday is one of my off-work day. Too much housework looming that I've ignored all weekend. Sad, but I miss the intellectual stimulus of work on "off" days.. :(

Living the dream, so far is fucking boring. Pass some droogz please.

Cafeful, now. You could ed up creating a parallel universe with a different set of winning balls. This universe would be unstable, and would try to decay into a state that the original universe could plausibly have decayed into. At which point, the two timelines would merge back into one, and the rip in the fabric of space-time would be mended. But this could never come about, as long as any living person remembered the numbers that were drawn on that night when the bifurcation was created, and the numbers given by Consumer to FUBAR both were drawn and not drawn on what eventually became two separate timelines.

Which means ultimately one of two possible outcomes. Either anyone who bought a ticket or even checked the winning numbers that week would end up dying; or something would happen that would cause everyone to forget the lottery results that week. That latter scenario doesn't sound like good news. And all just to mend a slight rip in the space-time continuum caused by someone being careless with time travel.

Very good points. But dont worry. I wont give the numbers to FUBAR cause he's a cunt ;)

Dad is ok. Well kind of. We find out more tomorrow when he see's his specialist. He is scared, mum is worried sick and to be honest i am struggling big time. But its part of life and at least i understand the medical side of things and so does my brother who is a doctor. I just have to be strong for mum and dad as the rest of the family is in Sydney. So their care is largely up to me. Caring for them in their old age is why i became a nurse so i am glad that i have the skills to help as much as i can.
I have really good support though. Great friends and an awesome GP. Work is pretty understanding too. So we as a family will get through this whatever the future holds.

I have got plenty of support from members here too which has been great. And giving FUBAR shit is good therapy so i will stick around and keep editing his posts and derailing threads to keep the mods busy.

Anyway back to work. Just paperwork for me today so no client related stress to deal with and i offloaded my most difficult client onto a colleague. ..well they offered to take him over. So while things are not great they could certainly be a lot worse.
