I totally agree with you.
Some of our fantasies should remain fantasies. The fact that you can talk to each other about that is a great step for better relating to each other. But some major decisions like that depends a lot on how mature you both are. Like it was said above, you don't need to rush into anything.

It is not in my opinion as everyone has their own values but it needs maturity from each part involved for that(open relationships, wife sharing, threesomes) to end well.
