What's Good On TV? V. Saul Changed His Number

Is this the original Scandinoir (Danish/ Sweedish) version? I saw the first season a few years back and thought it was amazing. I have been a massive fan of Kim Bodina for years and the female detective, played by the spectacularly talented and beautiful Sofia Helin is one of the most original and satisfying characters I have come across (pun slightly intended) in a while.

Most sure is sir & yeah I agree 100% with this "the spectacularly talented and beautiful Sofia Helin"

Waiting for family guy and american dad to come on on the box. While I curl up with a whole tub of chocolate ice cream with doughy bits in it and covered in chocolate sprinkles, a pipe full of good heroin, already had about 35-40mg methadone, along with a bottle of cold coke out the fridge, some cigars, muscle relaxers (tizanidine) and 5mg nitrazepam.

Just watched 'Randell and Hopkirk (deceased)', now watching 'The New Avengers'. Fuckin love these old 60s/70s Brit programs. Trouble is, I remember them from the first time around...

Aah, nostalgia.

They just realesed season 3. I like they show enough that I rewatched season 1&2 again this year before watching season 3. I don't usually like rewatching old seasons like that with most shows.
Yeah, tis good to rewatch for a refresher before the next season

I just finished watching the 3rd season. What did you think of it?

I liked where it ended because it left the potential for a season 4 wide open.

Do you know if it's been renewed for another season? I hope it has bcos it's the best show I've watched in ages. I'm not in the greatest of places atm so I need this kind of distraction.

I only watch saul because of mike he 's so baddass

I love that show so much. As great as Breaking Bad was I'm wondering if I prefer Saul as while it carries over the same sensibilities its such a slow deep burn and despite the departure of Chuck (which IMO was necessary as the heartbreaking dyanamic between him and Jimmy / Saul had run its course) the last season was as good as any of them.

I've been so lazy updating this thread, mostly because I have done too much binge watching this year for people to care, many of which were classic shows I have only just had the chance to see (The Sopranos and The West Wing being the most upfront examples).

While Netflix continues to provide many gems above and beyond the Marvel series I am so obsessed with, with Mindhunters and Unabomber impressing alongside Wormwood, possibly one of the most original docudrama's I have ever come across, I have been blown away by some of the BBC's most recent efforts.

Despite its overblown contrivances I got completely sucked into Mecurio's Bodyguard, but even that now feels bland and ordinary following the awesome Informer (I <3 P Considine) and the adaption of John le Carr?'s The Little Drummer Girl (At the risk of sounding like the old letch I would be if I had the means or energy, Florence Pugh is so beautiful).

Anybody else chomping at the bit to see the new Luther?

*pant, sweat, fawn*

hashtagwotsit 'Idris for World President' ... err summat

I thoroughly recommend 'The Bandersnatch' - no, it's not a German porno, it's the latest episode in the Black Mirror series on Netflix. It's interactive, so you get to control the decisions the main character makes, thus determining the eventual outcome. It's extremely well done and very dark. It's also set in 1984 so is a great nostalgia trip for us oldies, and the acid trip scene is excellent.

Check it out...

As a take - it - for - granted fan of Black Mirror (despite realising how genius it is I have styl failed to watch all the episodes available to me, only briefly returning over the last year or two specifically to watch the 'USS Callister' story being a space opera obsessive), I have only become aware of 'The Bandersnatch' and the conceptual presentation over the last couple of days and even before I see how successful I feel they have been, I am already in awe of the creators attempt at what is truly a brand new medium in content delivery and the fact that Black Mirror has taken this step with one of their films (if it still qualifies as being so simple) makes so much sense on a meta level as well.

You'll love it Stee, I can guarantee it. I'm surprised it hasn't been done before tbh, but in fairness it must have been a bitch to film all the permutations and edit it so seamlessly. Even the seemingly inconsequential choices made early on are referenced throughout the remainder of the film. Hopefully this will be the start of a whole new genre...

I managed to get to almost 7 minutes or there abouts. Switched it off feeling annoyed and irritated.

It's a shite idea. A great technique if you're writing books for a 5 year old. But for adults? Not-fucking-likely.

Much Love x

Oh ye of short attention span! I'd advise you to try again. Stick with it, it gets much better (and very twisted) I can assure you...
