You are being asked to take part in a research study investigating the use of hallucinogenic substances, and mental health. Please read this explanation about the study and its risks and benefits before you decide if you would like to take part. This study is being conducted by Dr. Zach Walsh, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of British Columbia. You may ask Dr. Walsh to explain anything that you do not understand to make sure that all of your questions have been answered before consenting to participate in this study. What is the purpose of this study?
The purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding of the use of hallucinogenic substances, as well as their associations with a number of mental health factors. Past studies have typically focused on problematic drug use, but we are investigating alternative questions, such as therapeutic motivations.
