There are not many old addicts as heroin only started coming in to the country in volume in the 80's so people like me in there 50's are about as old as it gets.

Yeah but what about all the folks from the 60s (and to a far lesser extent the 70s) who were on diamorphine scripts? It's true that street heroin didn't really come into play until after doctors had stopped scripting it but there has a been a continuum of heroin addicts for almost a hundred years.

there were only addicts amounting to hundreds in the 60/70' - possible up to 1/2000 depending who you believe - but there weren't many legal scripts about and the majority were in london at expensive clinics. Alot of addicts from those days were more likely to die from dikes or palfium. I have been arounf addicts since 81 and the oldest ive met would be in his 60's now-63/4 maybe.

Yeah that's true....until the missus of drugs act ('71?) there were only a small number of heroin addicts in certain parts of the country plodding along on their scripts. It wasn't until after that that the influx of Pakistani/Afghan #3 in the 80's came along and created the situation we have today.

Yet more reason to abandoned this stupid war on drugs and return to saner times. Heroin and cocaine should both be made available through specialist clinics to those who feel the can't or don't want to stop. If this was made available alongside traditional treatment options the benefits would be massive. Price and purity could be controlled, crime would plummet (both organised and petty) etc. etc...

Doubt it will ever happen though....

and never forget the amount of TAX the gov can rake in if it was legal.
they have lost a lot by stopping people from drinking and smokin ing the pub,made a fortune by making those on council tax benefit(previously covered that bill),now have a £200+ to pay(and that's a lotta people

I have a friend in his 60s who used to be an addict.He is full of storys about robbing pharmacies etc
looking at some you tube vids,after soldiers had served in the east,many returned as addicts and cities like London often had opium dens where the well to do would often go
as they had also developed habits from it being widely prescribed by docs
as morphine,heroin and laudenum,it had been available otc to anyone and cheap too
so there were loads of addicts.then the gov cracked down on opium dens to try to control the chinese
just look at you tube,there are loadsa vids about it

Have you ever heard of the heroin and cocaine kits they used to sell in harrods around the time of WW1? They were described as being "a useful present for friends at the front " I forget the year but sometime after that heroin/morphine /cocaine and a few others were eventually made illegal as they thought they might diminish the troops ability and will to fight.

There are loads of tales of dodgy doctors in the 60s who would prescribe massive quantities of those heroin soluble tablets for injection and amps of methamphetamine.. One or two docs in particular were prescribing tens of thousands of doses a month and people were immigrating to England from places like Canada just to take advantage of the UKs drug policy....then we decided to follow the yanks in criminalising addicts....and it went down hill from there really

That's because Bayer who marketed Heroin claimed it wasn't addictive. Similar claims were later made about benzos, Z drugs and SSRIs.. Whatever next?

Legal smack, was there a better time to be a junkie bastard ? if it actually was made legal same with any drug crime would easyily half over night.

How's everyone else gear at the moment? Mine is good and has been steady for a while now. Getting a Gs for 30, if am not taking an 8th. Just do in more when its an 8th though less am looking to get off ma tits a G easily keeps you well and you can still enjoy a smoke , usually get my morning smoke (drops at 9-9.30 for me every morning) smoke for lunch and one for bed, half an hour easy for each smoke too. I have a serious court case just around the corner so naturally I am smoking more that's what happens when smack is your comfort place.

Although if things go bad for me then I am looking at starting quite a serious sentence( probs about 3 year could be anything upto 5) last thing I want is to go in with a massive habit even taking a parcel in still means ad rattle eventually. Solid trying to chase a habit in side and dear and a lot of hassle isn't worth it so I will be coming of it and the rattles will be bad, aren't on meth or subs think it takes about 6weeks to get in as well. So will have to see what's happens.

Obviously got my g this morning just having a little smoke just now, very nice. Its nice and sunny love it thinking I will just blast thourgh this g while getting the sun at the back door just need to sneak in for a toot here and there. Days like these where I used to be right on it but now I don't even think about drinking and don't want to, don't think about anything or drugs just the gear , I do still like my weed/hash but I don't see as a drug myself personally.

What are my fellows brass monkeys upto on a sunny day like this, hope no one is sick. What's ya gear like amigos?

The dealer is the one out of all my contacts who takes the piss the most though. Probably worth the wait though but sometimes I get impatient and just end up ringing my other guy who is never longer than 15 minutes. His gears probably 7/10 whilst the other guys is an 8.5/10

When I was through recently staying with family, I was getting 15 pound bags was actually first time I had come across somebody doing it like that. I know its done all over the UK but not round these parts. 15 quid for .4 which was decent considering.

It was fawny white I know colur doesn't mean everything but I like my brown to be brown. My stuff at the moment is exactly that rocky. Proper kit again in my eyes. Nicer it is more you seem to want. With under par gear you will take enough to get yourself well if your not on maintance through no choice but you know there is no point trying to chase a dunt because it won't happen for you so you don't waste the doe, but when the going is good you blow what money you do have then money you don't have, by that I mean bill money then your chasing money to repay the bills and money to pay for the habit. I don't know when I will have enough of it and really want to quit, but sadly I am not ready to give up.

I feel ya mate re; the dealers. I hate that fucking about pish. Get the call and try and get the stuff from A to B as quick as possible. If its there get it sold that's how I see it, and do it. Some people just like to be fandans over it. Try not to deal with tossers like that myself, hear what ya saying about it being good gear in a catch 22 then aint ya mate.

As most people here know,I recently did a year in prison.
The cat B prison I was in allowed those with an outside script to continue it for as long as they liked;even their entire sentence.Those who came in with a habit but no script,could be placed on a meth or subbie script right away,if they wanted.They don't see the point of having people rattling all over the prison and so increasing drug taking inside the prison.
But a male friend of mine went to Winston Green(the green),in the W midlands.They do a mandatory detox there.if you go in on a script,it will be reduced over 21 days.If you go in without a script,you can choose to do their detox,where they put you on meth or subs and then do the same 21 day detox.
Or I guess you can just choose to use that time and just rattle it out.If you are facing years,I would recommend you use the time to get clean.
I failed so many voluntary detoxes,cos as soon as the rattle got bad,I would just discharge myself

I was offered cat D but I knew I would go straight out and score,so I knocked it back.I just didn't have the nec self control.I 'needed' that steel door every morning when you wake up having been dreaming of scoring and using(which I still get even now,even though i haven't used for many months now)

But I know in the jail I will be going to if worst happened, is a private prison and its new a bulid. But because it is for one area lots of shit from outside comes in, and I not going to lie I know a lot of boys that are in side. I have been in before yos too drugs things though only violent if pushed haven't been for a while. I know was 6 weeks way back but I have people say its days I don't know. I have been on subs before. I did get off the gear with them just to end back on it with no subs no its full blown addiction, chasing gear, all your money going gear you know the way. Thinking back the subs did work they did take away the stuff that makes me use gear which was good but me being a dick thought that was me had beat the demons, or maybe I just wanted off the subs to become a full-time junkie again. For the as much I hate smack and everything it does to me, there is a part of me that can't let go, it does literally feel like it makes me feel normal the way a person should feel about like, gives me a fake sense of happyness. I need to get over that. But I really rather not have prison force me into stopping though as you can appeciate lol it was a self defence situation I was in.

Do have a good lawyer. I don't need a QC (don't know what that is in england and wales) but my lawyer is good. And their case is based upon somes lies. As I said though I tried to explain it in the self defence case.


Just as it the heroin thread just to mention my man had different stuff today really dark but just as good as usual but defo different.

The cat B I was in was a private prison;would be sodexo running it.TBH,it's not that bad.None of this 'sir' or 'madam' shit.
They also own the catering companies that supply the prison,so they make plenty from you and the canteen too.
you can earn just enough for what you need each week,so no dependence on money coming from outside.
Just stay away from the gear in there cos once you are into it,it is incredibly hard to get out again.
you are not a first timer,so you'll find it all very easy,apart from your rattle
But all the sodexo prisons are built and run exactly the same,so you shouold have the option to stay on a maintenance script if you choose
I was facing 5yrs but had a very good reference and got 30 months,of which I did only 11.Single cell the whole time(couldn't deal with having to watch all the soaps all the time and share a tv.or a cell.it would undoubtedly end in tears.
sure you will be fine.usually you get a barrister rather than a lawyer when you hit crown courts.But that is the key to your sentence,without any doubt.Good legal representation.

I rang my dealer with the better kit last night and he said ring 10-15 mins, I rang him back after 15 mins and he said Sapper off to the meeting place in 5 mins (takes me five minutes to get there) and he'd be there in 10 min.

Got there, stood around for 20 minutes....tried ringing him but he wasn't answering his phone or any texts I sent him. After about 40 piss taking minutesof heating nothing from him I fucked it off and started walking home, phoned my other dealer on the way home only to find he has no transport so I ended up walking 10 mile round trip just for a brandy. What took the piss even more is when. I'd scored and was walking home this is nearly 3 hours after I was told to go to the meeting spot by the other dealer who was '5 mins away' he then rang me and asked where I was he's coming seeing me...told him too late, already scored. Takes the piss like no other that cunit he didn't get in touch once in the mean time to tell me what was going on! It would have saved me a LONG walk and had better gear. 3 hours itmtokmme to get there and back.

I notice it doesn't run too fast over the foil I like that seems to me there is less cut, a dunno though, but I like it anyway. Not taking vallies anymore.

My bird has does been gave a strip(14) of zopiclone of her GP! I have never tried these is there any fun to be had taking 10 of these ? I will need to leave her some to use properly though lol is there any fun at all, probs will swally em either way ha

We certainly are mate and that's one of the reasons they know they can take the piss so much because they know we won't just fuck it off because we need it. Wha he did was just bang out of order hough I was texting him asking what's going on amd he was just ignoring my texts, didn't answer any of my calls either even though he'd tld me he'd be ten mins!

Only problem with this cunt is he won't do a deal on his white. I can get decent white 3/£50 but he just won't do it. Maybe it's work paying the extra bit for the bypetter gear....it's the only stuff that puts me on a nod!

Well, you were right, fightingthetoot mate, you were right! against my better judgement ibe managed across a tenner and had this guy on the blower he's already told me ten mins, rang back 15 mins later says he's in traffic he'll be ten mins, it's been 15 again gunna ring him again see what I get this time.
