One and only festival I ever attended was Fairport back in my late(ish) teens. One of my chums got horrendously wasted on Frosty's within a couple hours of arriving, slashed his wrists (in that "definitely not intending to slash his wrists so much as to make a point of having slashed his wrists" kinda way) and got escorted off site. I was a bit of a scallywag of a youth at the time so waited until the next night to shag his missus out of respect :eek:

Is it Folk Legends hour or something atm? Been quite a few legendary artists posted just now in this thread and the closed one that preceded it.

I have to admit to not being familiar with Dominic Behan, but with a name like that he has to be a folksinger, right? I gave it a quick listen to confirm, could be a grower that one.
 
Dominic was from a big IRA family, which included his brother Brendan.

Michael Collins gave their mother a fiver upon their father's imprisonment. A fiver was a lot. Think the father was Kevin Behan.
 
Lol, im not that wee or old. Add neither is Sam. i have no idea how old you are, but judging by the era of many of the artists that ZWs' posts, he may have a few years on us.
