The only thing I can say for my age is that I have a pretty solid employment background. I was let go from my previous job of 12 years in sales. I have been out of work for 3 years due to family issues. I recently applied to a major bank as a Financial Sales Consultant. I passed the Assessment. I passed the phone interview. The 1 on 1 with the local branch manager went well. I have a terrible credit history with a foreclosure and major credit card debt from 2008. I have 2 DUIs within 5 years. I was told I am up against one other applicant. I have consented to the credit and background checks. Does anyone have enough knowledge in this area to comment on my chances of getting the job?

be up front about your criminal background because they are gonna find out anyway.
2 DUIs sucks but that shouldn't totally ruin your chances. If i was hiring manager, a DUI wouldn't really affect my perception of the applicant, it would affect my perception of the applicant when said applicant was drunk.
Maybe the other applicant has 3. you never know
