Im also having issues with my libido. Almost 11 months off the shot. I think I'm just waiting for my receptors to recycle. I read somewhere that that takes 1-4 weeks. Everyone, that's a heads up. After Invega gets out of your system, your body has to recover. Example, the receptors have to recycle. Bla. 11 months is a long time. Will b relieved with this passes.

When does the anhedonia go away? Also the brain fog.. I understand everyone heals at different rates but I'm just curious if there's an average time. It seems like libido is something that takes even longer than anhedonia to heal from what I've been reading. :? I really hope they ban this medication. It takes away everything that makes you feel human.

Day 115

I had a good night of sleep luckily. Now I know what HateInvega was talking about when he said side effects are substancial near the 4 month mark. Getting close, he recovered at 4 months 1/2. Which means I have about 20 more days. Thank God, I will finally get my life back. I am grateful I didn't take not even one more shot. Btw, if you're like me and sometimes train like an athlete (I don't pretend to be a beast, just a sport lover). There are pros and cons. Yes it helps recover faster but when the body rejects lots of Xeplion and burns lots of fat at once, it causes heavy fatigue, heavy racing thoughts, confusion and anxiety.

Sonmny, I didn't deal with brain fog but the anhedonia went away after 2 months I'd say. Couldn't feel much of positive emotions but the negative ones hit my spirit like crazy. The anger especially was difficult to handle.

In my 6th month I felt a huge improvement.
I had a tough time with anhedonia. It went away around 6 months too. Keep your head up. It does get better.

Hi everyone

I saw a new p.doc and he wants to put me on abilify, anyone have any experience with this? I'm still coming off the invega, so putting me on another AP seems like overkill while I still have so much invega in my system, he wanted me to take 5mg of abilify everyday using a pill splitter, but I heard that there are affects of restlessness and jitters and I don't want that, I'm still trying to come off the invega.

EDIT: My Dad thinks I'm taking it but I'm not going to take it for right now because I don't think I have schizophrenia because it was drug induced psychosis that got me on the invega, otherwise I'm perfectly fine :/ The p.doc also told me because I smoked K-2 spice that I'm permanently stuck with schizophrenia which I think is a load of bull.
Thanks

Well, if you ask me, very little proportion of schizophrenics need to take medications anyway...
I took abilify 10 mg a few years ago. It gave me akathisia. I just couldn't stop moving. My personal advice would to stop all the medications for psychosis. Especially if you're in your twenties. Just live life :)

@Offvega: type abilify in the search bar here, see what pops up like this one http://bluelight.org/vb/threads/787777-Coming-off-Anti-psychotics-Megathread/page2

not sure what country your from but in america we have something called NAMI - national institute of mental illness. like their header says, they're grassroots, though take some of it with a grain of salt just like any one does reading reviews here. https://www.webmd.com/drugs/2/drug-64439/abilify-oral/details

invega/xeplion, abilify, haldol and zyprexa/olanzapine injections can all cause the same type of suffering if your unfortunate enough. i rather see you healed first before trying any of those injections. (though i rather not see anyone on these injections at all)

I smoked spice once or twice and got a headache but not much else, many have agreed; some have not but you don't seem like it did permanent damage. it's the bath salts you gotta be weary of, they will make you eat other peoples faces.

@Somny: in addition to what Empty1128 said (correct he is, stupid he is not, hhmmm yes) generally speaking anhedonia sticks around until after the zombie phase is over with (it's one of the main reasons it's called the zombie phase) average healers usually experience it for 8 months or less. it sucks but staying distracted will help you not be focused on it. brain fog 8 months or less, depends on who you are like you said. both are really big signs that things are improving.

to the room: what did you guys become invega/xeplion experts all of a sudden?! haha.

glad to see your all learning, bringing more hope for those just getting stuck on it and to each other. more cases to prove to those around the world that we all get better, that we all heal. a lot of you sound much better, like the way you should be (like before the poison).

(sorry Hellohihey2, i still can't be smarter than this machine and make the injection emoji work)

Na I know what your saying now.
I know it's not the only thing and people got other problems but i'm going overseas and I want to check out a few Escorts while i'm over there.
Thought you were just some sex fiend. sorry. Didn't realize your intentions there were pretty noble.

Good luck. Maybe you'll find an escort out there who's so kinky you won't think twice about your libido being in the dumps.

Day 116

Invegauser, you were right, memory does come back. My memory got better and better throughout this week. Now I can finally study and memorize stuffs that I'm assigned for college. What a miracle, knowing my classes start next monday. My mood is better, I feel somewhat more confident, at least less awkward. My strength is 90% back, I have little withdrawal effects but expect some to come back as I worked out yesterday. I can see the finish line, it must be around 10-30 days from now roughly. Some people must have believed they were 100% healed at the point where I'm at today. Because, if they don't study for classes or work out like I do, there is no landmark to use to gauge wether they completely recovered or not. Just my opinion though.

Rosi71, have you seen a doctor? Maybe you have a mild depression causing you to not feel much emotions and you need some antidepressants. Maybe you take another drug unrelated to Invega and it's a side effect. Maybe you just have some Invega left in your body and what you need is niacin, a bit of exercise. It must be difficult for you. I wish I had a solution.

@rosi71 why dont you get off your ass and try to benifit yourself you said you had astroke? lost your kid? no wonder you feel somethings empty we humans forget what its like to feel normal after this. juzt trust me you need a year for your receptors to work if they evr do bc your like almost 50 years old congrats your the reason i want to die at 17 years old youve done the world a favor

Fasting can be beneficial
I second that. In the first 2 years coming off Invega Sustenna I did a lot of fasting. I was also a vegetarian and sometimes fruitarian for at least a year. It helped a lot.

On some days I would eat 2-3 dates in the morning and fast for the rest of the day.

still need work on those ninja skills i see. hate begets more hate, anyone who suffers from the poison is going to have it hard enough as it is, so do yourself a favor and take it easy on yourself.

take it as a learning experience. work at it to better yourself and your position in the healing process.

otherwise you might end up becoming the very thing you don't like. make sense?

Day 117

My imagination is almost back to normal. I feel I can finally make people laugh cuz my sense of humor is back and that's a big thing to me. I had a good night of sleep and I dreamt. Tomorrow is the first day of college new semester. I need to crush college and get those grades up.

Btw, I'll be as honnest and as accurate as I can be. The remaining side effects are:
- unability to work out more than 3 times a week (I can do 6 days a week without Invega)
- unability to stay completely focused on my lessons. I can learn though.
- not as energetic as I should be.
- I have weird thoughts, needy for love.
It's about all I have now but I still won't call it 100% healed. I'll get rid of those first. But to the readers, these are the last signs I think. If you're like me then there isn't lots of invega left. I feel like my prayers are being answered.

Hello all

Did anyone sleep a lot when withdrawing from the Invega? I sleep like 10 hours of my life away everyday, and I'm not sure what's going on with me anymore, unbelievable brain fog and some restlessness could be from the prozac though, I'm quitting my antidepressant because it's making it harder for me (no pun intended) to maintain an erection so I hope I'm making the right choice going off this but I need to get better somehow and it's off all these meds, just hoping there's light at the end of the tunnel and that recovery is real, because it feels like I just got my shot

EDIT: I've been juicing but it's still so hard for me to lose weight I have an appetite I can't control did anyone else have this problem? Does weight loss become easier as the shot tapers off?
