Stimulants Biotransformation for L-Ephedrine Production

so this is somewhat new and it is hard to find a lot of info on this subject, but apparently you can get L-pac (a key intermediate for L-ephedrine) by adding Benzaldehyde to a sugar/yeast fermentation. and then add acetone to the mix to separate.

Has anyone tried this process or know anything more about it? Im very interested in this
 
Go read the patent literature?

(also benzaldehyde is a dea watched substance - lots of people will make you sign papers saying you're not using it to make dope!!)

We don't discuss drug manufacture here.
