Mushroom growth after 20 days

Checked my mushrooms I'm growing at the 20 day mark and this is what they look like so far….

They were inoculated with B+ strain and have been in an incubator in darkness kept at 76-78*F for the last 20 days. Anyone with knowledge in mushroom growing know if this amount of growth is what I should expect for how long they been incubating?

Is that just one patch or does it go all around the glass?

It's ok for 20 days - the question is whether it will keep expanding or if it's stalled and that's going to be as much as you get. What have you got in the lid of that jar? Are there holes in it? The mycelium does better if it's got some air to breathe - otherwise it just stalls.

The patch goes about 4/5 of the way around the jar on all of them. The lids have 4 holes poked in each of them. These are actually pictures of them on day 15, I haven't checked them in 5 days.

Did those two you re-injected ever show any signs of life?

Question is, if it is up to 4/5 so far, at what rate is it growing now? Cause if it is finalizing the colonization, definitely let that complete and even add a few extra days before birthing.
If it is pretty much stalling lately, then you could try to trigger fruiting so that you at least get some out of it... remove uncolonized substrate with a sterilized tool. But yeah stalled jars are difficult to proceed with by definition.

Hard to say if you are progressing at a nominal rate, it can vary. You could try matching it to grow logs of other (B+) cultivators, with similar volume jars.

The shroomery does a lot more IDing via pics, we don't really do that. Although speculation about mushroom cultivation is relatively harmless.

They were growing quite slowly at first, no growth after 10 days and then they were like this five days later. I haven't checked them in about 6 days so I'll give them a lookly-loo tomorrow and see how they've progressed. I've been keeping a journal of their growth and morning/night temperature each day.

Don't be totally disappointed if all the jars stall or fail tho bugg. It can take a while of experimenting to get anywhere. I'm just cussing because I put 15 fully colonised cakes in the fruiting chamber and only one of them has fruited anything. That just seems to be the way of the mushroom grower.

Those jars are experiencing a normal growth rate for MS innoculation, which I assume you did.

The only thing that concerns me is the black spot in the top left of the second picture. Does it look like that in person or is it just the angle?

*edit* just figured out how to zoom in on my phone. Are those black dots vermiculite pressing against the glass? Can you upload more closeup pics?

cool bro, i really want to grow mushrooms and link pics. i cant until after i delete the drug stuff from my facebook and phone i posted all types of incriminating and illegal stuff on their. i need to delete all of the incriminating stuff on my facebook, phone, ect, definitely wait about a year then i could do something illegal

Just checked how the substrate jars are doing on day 28 (13 days later) and boy oh boy, are they really growing! The two jars that had no mycelium are full of it now and the other four are fully covered in very rizomorphic mycelium. They've probably at least increased by 50% in the amount of visible mycelium around the jars. I should have took pics but my phone was dead, so next time I check I'll defiantly get some pics. Looks like those booster shots really helped out!
