My Transylvanian ex owned a purple piano she no longer wanted (cos it was her previous ex's) and she moved in down the road from me so me and a few of my (at the time) other junky mates dragged the fucker up the road and installed it in my living room. I briefly returned to that town about a year ago, walked past my old flat and the drag marks are still all up and down the street.

And - i repeat - a fukkin purple piano, y'all.

Now then.

Might not be "cool" but there is quite a lot going on in this corner of a windowsill.

Antique coconut wood heffelump, which was a gift from my best friend (or more accurately, his antiques dealer father), on a cloud of sheeps wool collected from the fields surrounding Muirkirk, Ayrshire, on some wicker thing. Piece of driftwood from the rocky beach of Musselburgh (near Edinburgh), that looks like a sleeping crocodile dinosaur creature. Shells & pebbles from various Scottish beaches.

Actually, looking at it all now, I'm surprised that her indoors hasn't "advised" me to tidy it all up in a more artistic/sensible manner.

Well, if I came round to "curate" your pieces (no sniggering up the back please ) I would insist on clearing every room of your house out - empty it all onto the garden and then start replacing it all back inside in a different way that was functional, suitable, pleasing to the eye and practical. If possible I would attempt to use your "things" in an arrangement that gives pleasure, purpose and inspiration.

Google Martha Stewart. Only I'm better and customise, depending on set n' setting n' all that malarkey.

As the process goes along, I'd have you clean and repair and tidy out all the unnecessary shit.

And, you know at the end of all that you would feel refreshed, lighter, freer and life would be nicer. Trust me.

Less energy on the porn and more on engaging with real woman eh We have our uses.

I daresay it could do with one. I dont spend that much energy on porn, its got boring by now; several days go by when i dont even look at it, but when stims are in the mix the draw can be irrestible. Why dont you and Felix come to the next Manchester meet up, im slowly reaching a state of organization in my house such as that i know where things actually are in it. Im currently ebaying off things i dont use any more, and things i dont use any more that are of no value are getting binned.

I don't do BL meet ups any more. I've been to 2 already and they ended up with some strange results.

The first, I ended up marrying some guy off the internet who takes drugs 8(

The other in Amsterdam - I took so many drugs over 3 days that arranging to meet and speak to the people I really wanted to just didn't happen. Though I did meet a lot of lovely BLers from all over the world. That's was amazing. Talk about taking a bunch of drug pigs to Amsterdam to organise a drug met up 8( who were we kidding, you can just imagine the mess

Closer towards the topic, here is a wee thing I have in my toolbox.

I intercepted it from going into a metal scrap skip at a previous workplace, because it looked so intriguing & beautiful and I'd seen it on the shelf gathering dust for years. It is made of super-high quality stainless steel ("zeron") and is so well balanced and finely made, you can spin one of the vanes with a light touch and it rotates for about 2 minutes. I never knew what it actually was at the time so I went on to Reddit and some engineering geeks informed me that it's the internals for a "turbine flow meter". It's a tiny part of something that's used on offshore oil platforms to meter the flow of oil or something.

I'm gonna attach it to the front of my motorbike when I get her back on the road. %)

BTW I seem to remember it originally cost that oil company close to two grand to purchase, only for it to lie on a shelf for years and go obsolete shortly thereafter. I had a look at the inventory system and remembered that bit. It was just gonna be tossed in a skip.
