Technical Problem Posts Not Updating Labeled as "Edited?"

Hi. When I edit a post I'v made it doesnt have the usual update message explaining the edit and reason. Why is this happening? Thanks.

Are you making the edits within the first 5 minutes after posting? The edit doesn't show within that period, I think so you can make minor corrections to your posts.

aite thanks. In the other forum it showed as "edited" after that time period. I was unaware of that, thanks.

It's doing this for me still, 5 minutes after or not. When I type in the edit reason it simply names the post in bold whatever the edit reason was supposed to be...not sure why obviously. Doesnt really affect anything but still annoying sometimes.
