Notifications on replies to post?

I subscribed to certain threads and i get no notifications. It's rather inconveinent and would be much easier to just let us know when someones replied via notificaitons. It's annoying having to refresh my profile page every 2 minutes let alone waste of bandwidth when im over my allowance.

Am i doing something wrong?
