Starting suboxone what can I expect?

My husband and myself are getting on a waitlist to start suboxone.
Max 2 months from now.
what can we expect starting? We have to go to group sessions 3 hours a day 3 days a week, what are those like?
This is voluntary btw, we are choosing this to get help & end this nightmare. Taking like 70 mgs of hydrocodone daily, how will the transition be? Thank you!
