VA Drug Addiction Worker Took Recovering Vet To A Crackhouse

A “peer support specialist” working for the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System took a veteran recovering from drug addiction to a crackhouse to help him buy drugs — and still hasn’t been fired over a year later.

The unnamed employee has been found guilty of patient abuse, misuse of government vehicles, filing false overtime requests, and multiple ethics violations, according to the Marine Corps Times, but is still listed in the CAVHCS employee directory.

The employee, who worked for the drug addiction treatment program at the Tuskegee medical center, told one of his patients he could help him buy drugs and make sure he wouldn’t be drug tested. The next day the employee drove the veteran to a nearby crackhouse, where they both bought illegal drugs, and the employee received a blowjob from a prostitute.

The Veterans Affairs police investigation also found that the employee, who himself was a former patient in the program, not only repeatedly conducted personal business during work hours, but filed for and received overtime pay while doing so.

Another employee of the same medical center was charged with sexually abusing a female volunteer with Down Syndrome Tuesday. The clinic has also been investigated for covering up the length of wait times for appointments and ignoring hundreds of patient x-rays, according to the Montgomery Advertiser.

ROFL.. really the craziness will never end. It would have even been better if the fucking gov paid for the rocks and hummer. Really with all the money spent on the utterly failed drug war, "patient abuse, misuse of government vehicles, filing false overtime requests, and multiple ethics violations" is far greater than par for the course.. because really how does looking away people not constitute patient abuse.

Man the VA is terrible.

On a side note maybe an awesome job, my job makes me take my 15 minute break to buy crack let alone file for over time for it.

Your attention please:

The above quote contains what I consider to be actual abuse. You know... where the victim who was victimized - because she didn't consent to such behavior by the perpetrator - happens to be a conscious human being with the ability to feel pain and suffering, and, according to international law, has basic rights which must be respected at all times.

In stark contrast, and as an example, the decision by such a human being to occasionally consume a mind altering substance (other than alcoholic beverages or tobacco/nicotine products) for whatever reason - and without a physician or government permission slip - usually ends up in the drug consumer being viciously accused of being an abuser of drugs.

In other words, let's say I'm in the mood for smoking some weed in the privacy of my home after arriving there after a 12 hour shift, so I pick up a few grams of quality bud, and I "prepare" for my session with my usual routine.

I'm about to start toking, when suddenly I hear a very quiet, very high-pitched voice screaming at me.

"How dare you?! I do not appreciate being abused like this! You're burning me - stop! Oh the horror!"

Assuming that would actually occur - and sadly(?) it has not so far - and unless I've repeatedly missed the memo, the plant I'm about to enjoy along with a lot of pizza is not entitled to any rights.

As such, I propose that in the extremely unlikely event that Uncle Sam is reading this, that efforts are made to stop tagging recreational consumers of controlled substances as "drug abusers."

Rather, if the actual definition of a "drug addict" or "drug addiction" is met (at present, only ~1.4% of the American population actually meet this criteria in full), perhaps it would be better to swap "drug abuse" with "drug misuse" - seems reasonable to me at least.

Until then, mangé mes boxers.

That's my kind of drug worker. I hope he keeps his job.

This is disgusting and these people deserve jail.
