BDD Social and Info Booth Vs 28 - my dealer told me that this was the last time

It was no bother for me ;)

If you do make it, hopefully it turns out as good as hers' does. At my last job before I moved out here, I managed a facility that was rented out for special events and about a quarter of our rentals were for Indian festivals or family parties and I used to get SO much amazing Indian food. When we didn't have Indian renters, it was usually Koreans doing barbecue, Pakistani's doing nearly the same cuisine as the Indians except with lamb added or Persians whose biryani is too sweet. Apparently when it comes to spiciness, they are nancies. No wonder they can't get rid of Ahmadinejad and the Ayatollahs... ;)

I always felt REALLY awkward when we had Pakistani renters because they always observed salah in the lobby where my office was and my desk faced an open window into the lobby in the direct OPPOSITE direction of Mecca... so about once a month I would sit at my desk with 40-50 muslim men bowing and praying at me. Eventually I embraced it and started to believe I was their deity but then when I asked some brown guy on the street in Portland to bow and pray to me I got a fatwa put on me:\

I was always disappointed when we had white groups because most of the time it was shitty Italian food... I need to pretend like that's gourmet fucking cuisine though because I start a job at an Italian restaurant in 90 min.

Pakistani food is very good, when I ate meat my favourite dish was korai, which is a lamb curry with chilli and garlic and ginger (my holy trinity of flavour), bold and fiery and very delicious. I'm surprised you're so well acquainted with South Asian food, I can't imagine it's anything like as prevalent or culturally ingrained as it is in the UK, you must be one of the lucky few. Indian biryani (homestyle) is widely regarded as the pinnacle of Indian cuisine, its preparation (and whose mum does it best) is quite the contentious topic. Unfortunately, takeaway biryani is all too often a stodgy mix of sauce and rice topped with a greasy omelette.

Yeah, white people are broadly pretty shit at food. Good job we invaded the rest of the world, eh?

Fried stuff with "cheese". My fave ;)
What the fuck has happened here? We used to be cool, talk about how many drugs we were guzzling, now we're swapping recipes? We all got old. Fuck it, I'm going to pour myself a glass of sauvignon blanc and listen to Bach.

I actually laughed out loud.

im getting so fucking hungry right now hahaha. time to go munch out hardc0re.

good luck cane, the first day at work is the best time you will have at work, if that makes sense

And Cane2theLeft is proven right once again...

Mugz, we're not trying to mess with you. Nobody is. We've been trying to help you from the beginning. But really, after months and months of the same thing (stim binge followed by benzo binge followed by depression followed by stim binge followed by the cycle repeating a dozen more times) people get tired of what has effectively become talking to a brick wall.

I'm glad you're seeking out psychiatric care but here's an idea: Don't drink any more cider. Don't take any more drugs. Isn't that what we've been telling you all along?

Not really much I can do to please the naysayers and get myself some help until I get to a place(mostly physically) that will allow me to do this. I've only got a couple more nights up here, tonight is the last night that I can drink so I'm gonna finish the 3 cans I've got left, they would have already been gone but I seem to have passed out for a couple hours after food, was really nice food though.

Why not pour out those last cans man? I'm sure you have plenty of benzos in your system still from last night to make sleeping tonight no problem :)

/wWould be a waste of cider, i'll not last till 5am today and end up wandering to the hospital for food again today, most likely just pass out again. I've come to terms with the dates of my recovery and I've still time before that happens so today I'm continuing on the course I would have been if I had not decided to take action to get myself better.

*takes note of all these delectable sounding recipe's for further reference* thanks for all the great ideas lads.

tonight i'm eating the kangaroo i slaughtered which was roaming in my yard at the wrong time. they're steaks, as i usually get mini pot roasts, so i'm looking for something different to do with them. going to have to scout about for something scrumptious sounding to do it up with - some kind of marinade to drench it in likely accompanied by potatoes, pumpkin, peas and carrots done in some hot coals when i get the fire pit lit up later tonight - which will be a killer given it's inside and summer is upon us here in the southern hemisphere.

do you american and poms ever come across kangaroo in the markets over there? it's a damn fine, lean game meat with next to no fat and if cooked to perfection is absolutely gorgeous. i love me some kangaroo steak sammiches as well if i'm lazy and looking to make something quick and easy.

Mugz - please take in the advice these great guys are giving you. throw out the cider and other benzos and stims you've got and let yourself get a head start on a sober lifestyle. otherwise i've a feeling we're going to be berated with subsequent depressive posts as has been the trend lately. start looking after yourself asap. no more "one last time" because as trend seems to be you'll end up on a 5 day bender, forming psychosis and repeating the cycle over and over again.

stop using and start taking the advice you're given or you're going to find no one really giving a shit and ignoring your cries of help because you've been ignorant of them for most of the part.

come one, dude. you know what you gotta do so start fucking doing it!

Would be a waste of cider

would be a waste of brain cells. learn to cut your loses.

I'm going home on saturady, abuse will stop then and I'll start finding help and getting my act together, now is just my final hous or self destruction.!!!!!!

can't tell if joking, or that hardcore of an aussie lmfao...

i'm that hardcore!

i do get kangaroos and rock wallabies that graze on my property but i've never been one to go shooting them - i couldn't bring myself to it, i'm in awe of them and love to watch from a distance as they do their thang. it's an awesome thing when you have such beautiful marsupials roaming within meters of your home. the eastern king brown snakes i could do without as they're one of the most poisonous snakes in the world and australia just so happens to be host of around the top 5 or so in the world. the dogs used to take care of them but the dog i've currently got has no chance being a little lap lap dog.

i've caught and kept a few of the green tree snakes which makes their way inside as they're easy to pick up and handle - they've a beautiful scaled pattern as well. i'm rather inquisitive of snakes and would love to have another as a pet.

why, though? what good is going to come from it?

You can get kangaroo at most butchers here, only specialist places will have it in stock but any decent butcher will be able to order it for you. You can even get kangaroo burgers at music festivals (and ostrich, crocodile etc). I've not had it, I imagine it's probably a bit like rabbit, which is very tasty. If you want I can send you my veg curry recipe and fizzle's lentil soup one?

yes please, man. that'd be most appreciated!

i've never tried ostrich or even croc yet. croc is on my "to eat" list, apparently tastes a little like chicken as snake meat is supposed to.

kangaroo, done right, is very tasty - you don't want to overcook it as it turns to a chewy piece of shit wasting a delicate meal. i've not eaten enough rabbit to give it a fair comparison, though, so can't really comment on that. i definitely recommend giving the kangaroo meat a try, i'd say you'll enjoy it. wouldn't get it from a festival for obvious reasons. acquire it from your local butcher and go from there. you'll be converted. snake is another delectable meat as well.

Alas, I don't eat meat anymore, but if I ever lapse I'll be sure to try it ;) Festival food is actually pretty damn good a lot of the time these days in the UK, there are even full-service restaurants at some of the swankier ones, and it's so competitive that the standard is pretty damn good (which I'm glad about seeing as I eat it for months at a time). Anyway, I'll fwd you those now.

sounds a lot better than the setup's they have at gigs here in aus. hotdog/corndog stands, dodgy snag and steak sandwiches which have been sitting there for god knows how long with greasy skinned and hair servants. no such thing as a full service restaurant that i've experienced, which i could deal with.

i normally pack my own snacks (fruit and sangas, etc) if at all possible, protein shakes and the like kinda things as well. i hate carny food so avoid at all cost, i'm not all that into salmonella poisoning.

if it's an overnight thing, similar to doofs it's all good cause you can take your own esky, build a fire pit and cook what your little heart desires - fresh and healthy.

kangaroo is definitely worth relapsing over:D

those recipe's look great, mate. thanks, and thanks to fizzle as well! can't wait to give them a whirl.

First you relapse to kangaroo, because it'll be "fun" and all your friends are doing it.

Next you're at a party and someone hands you a platter with koala. You give in.

Two weeks later you're in the hospital covered in blood and semen, because you OD'd on Mcdonald's hamburgers you bought from an ex-convict at a hotel with barred windows.

I can't believe you Tentram. This is supposed to be a HARM REDUCTION forum. Wow. I'm gonna hold an abstinence-only seminar at the local grade school now.(While high on PCP of course.)

lol, you're good for a laugh, buddy. i know, imma have to keep myself in check with the kangaroo. it's some addictive shit!

how you been, mate? my condolences to you regarding the passing of your friend as well. i hope you're dealing with it as best as possible.

are you familiar with inositol at all? no, not for a cutting agent, as a supplement. i've just started dosing it the last few days and have a bit of hope for it. time will tell.
